Can't download NRSV and others
Hi,
I had 6 or 7 books downloaded on my iPad2 for off line access. Then I upgraded to iOS5. Since then I have not been able to download any resource. This has happened for the last four days. Any clues how to solve this issue? I already deleted the Logos App and reinstalled but still cannot download any resource.
Thanks, Gabe.

Hi!
I appreciate your reply. I am using Wifi and it is a pretty good connection. (In desperation because Sunday is approaching and I preach from my iPad I finally tried downloading the Olive Tree App and in no time I had several free books and Bibles in my hands! The Olive Tree interface is quite nice and useful indeed. wow! I am starting to feel frustrated because I have spent over 8k Dlls on Logos...)
Regarding posting logs, I don't know how to do that. I just searched through the forums about posting logs and found info related to the desktop versions but not related to iPads. Sorry, I am not very skillful on this. Would you point me to a link on how to post logs? Thanks and Blessings, Gabe.

Regarding posting logs, I don't know how to do that.
You should first try to download the books. If you are unsuccessful:
- On the bottom right hand corner, click "more."
- On the screen that opens, click "About"
- At the bottom, click "Send Support Info"
- Click "continue" for the "Send Support Info" dialogue box
- An email dialogue box will appear.
The email will automatically we addressed to support@logos.com. If you want to post the logs here, you can send the email to yourself. I am not a techie, but there might be another user who would be able to read the logs. If nothing else, add some information about your downloading troubles to the body of the email and send it to Logos.
I am not very skillful on this.
Just to make sure... [:)]
To download the books: are you clicking on the book "info" button (gray circle with letter "i") and switching the "available offline" to "on?"

Many thanks! I just sent the support info. Yes, I was able to download resources with no problem before upgrading to iOS5, so I know how to do that part. I appreciate your coaching! Be blessed.

Gabriel, I'm not sure your logs made it through to us. If you are still having this issue, it might be better if you could e-mail the logs to yourself and then post them on this thread.

Same issue here... lost the books I had already made available offline before the iOS upgrade; then could not get the NVI (Nueva Versión Internacional) - one of the Spanish Bible translation that I use. (This is fully available on my MacBook's Logos.)

- Were you updating from iOS 4, or from iOS 5 to 5.0.1?
- When did you update your OS?
then could not get the NVI (Nueva Versión Internacional)
Not all resources are available on mobile devices. The NVI is not currently an available resource to download. Until very recently, this was true for the NIV as well. In the two screenshots below, notice that the NIV has an iPhone icon beneath the resource, the NVI does not.
NOTE: The publisher of the NVI has not yet granted Logos the ability to allow you to view the resource on your mobile device.

Thanks Tonya, here is the zip file. Gabe.
Thanks! I'll get your logs to Development for investigation.

Gabe, there are a lot of timeout errors in the logs. This typically indicates a problem with the Internet connection. It looks like most of the requests for smaller amounts of data go through, but most of the larger ones, e.g. resource downloads, fail because of the network connection.

Dave, thanks for your response. I will think hard what could be the problem. It is really puzzling since I download heavy content from other applications to my iPad with no apparent problem, like Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, Eyewitness, TED videos, and others. I recently donwloaded 28 free resources from Olive Tree, with no problem at all. My problem with the Logos app came only after I upgraded to iOS 5. My Logos desktop works fine and they both run under the same internet connection. Again, thanks for looking at it.
Blessings,
Gabe.
