iPad offline books error
I have Logos for iPad and I have upgraded to Logos 4. When i do not have internet access on my iPad none of my offline books will load except the currently active book. I have all the resources displaying the red airplane icon indicating the book is downloaded for offline viewing, but when I select another book I receive and error stating the resource is unavailable. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times to correct the problem, but that did not help.
Any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

I have the very same problem, have posted it on here before & got very little response, so was beginning the think I was the only one!
Logos on the iphone4 works fine, allowing swapping between off line books, so I am hoping that when the new OS for the ipad arrives in November it will solve the problem. What has worked for me a couple of times is rebooting the ipad, then running Logos, and then I could change between off line resourses.
Sorry this is not much help.

I'm sure you have, but this was a problem with a previous version of the app. Are you sure you have the latest version? Also, have you tried to uninstall and then reintall and redownload just one book and test it? Other than that I got nothing.

I have also gone through the trouble of reinstalling and cannot get them to work. It used to only do it for some resources but now that I have reinstalled, I can only read the NKJV in offline mode.
It is really annoying as now I can only read these resources near a wifi spot which completely defeats the purpose of the offline mode.

Since most of my iPad use has been in the vicinity of a WLAN, I only this past weekend discovered that all my books which I downloaded for offline reading were indeed not there. Then I tried it with my iPhone and when I clicked on the "Library" icon down below, I only got a blank white screen.
Having books available offline is especially helpful here in Europe, because once you leave the country where your online/cell phone contract is... BLAM! you get clobbered with roaming charges and high data charges. Imagine that you live in LA, but every time you go to Phoenix or San Francisco you either accept exorbitant roaming charges or you stay off-line. That's what it's like here. Even HotSpots get roaming charges.
So... Logos, you've created a wonderful thing... it just needs to work (or work again). I'm otherwise so pleased with all your progress and love Logos 4.

Offline reading means that you are not using an internet connection, no WLAN, no router etc.
It seems that with certain app updates, the previously downloaded books for offline viewing disappear.
I hope Logos will resolve that the downloaded books remain on the iPad/iPhone despite an app upgrade.

Sorry Jeffrey... I know what "offline" reading is [:)]. When Doug said that he was "having the same problem" I didn't review what "the same problem" was. This reminds me of a small pet peeve... It is helpful to give context when making a post, especially when you are having troubles. An easy way to do this is to "quote" the appropriate post. In this case I thought Doug was having trouble downloading books for offline usage.

Jeffrey - Logos is working on this. In the future, it would be helpful to create a new thread instead of beginning a new topic in an old one.

Doug - The thread that you replied to is very old. Can you start over and explain your problem? It would also be helpful to add some information:
- What device are you using?
- What OS are you running?
- What version of the app are you running?

If, since last reading 'off-line' you have upgraded to iOS 5 then all your downloaded books will have been removed when the new operating system was installed.
This affected many app users not only Logos - Apple's model was that resources should be transitory and downloaded as needed. Their model has had to be reviewed and a new category of permanent resource has been created and logos will be using this from now on.
You will have to download again those resources required for off line use but from now on they should be permanent fixtures.

I have the IPad2 and running the IOS5 version 5.01. I have downloaded many books from my library for offline use, and was successful. The next day when I restart my Logos App on my IPad and check my library file, at least 99% of my books are wiped out after connecting to the Logos server. Is this happening with anyone else? Also is Logos working on this specific problem?
