We're putting together this year's Christmas promotions and we'd like your input! Any ideas you'd like us to consider? Sorry, no discounts on Anchor Yale or NICOT.
Being able to buy individual volumes of NICOT/NICNT would be a great Christmas present.
Agreed - I actually emailed this to suggest@logos.com earlier this week. Even sub-collections would provide a way of building the collection. (Gospels, Pauline, etc).

Wonder about special sale for older Community Pricing resources that shipped many months (or years) ago ?
With Logos Bible Software usage growing, some Logos users missed bidding opportunity on older community pricing spectacular deals.
Wonder about promotional sale for community pricing resources that shipped prior to 31 Dec 2010 ? (especially ones that sold less than 11 times in 2011)
If Meyer's commentary was old enough, sales price would range from $ 210 to $ 126 (more than $ 30 closing). For a community resource that closed at $ 30 with pre-publication of $ 59.95, then promotional discount ranges from $ 59.95 to $ 35.97 (bit more than original closing).
Encouraging more community bidding may provide incentive to close more resources this year. For users who recently purchased old community pricing resource(s), could offer credit.
Wonder about annual community pricing promotional for public domain resources that shipped over a year ago and sell less than once per month over past year ?
Keep Smiling
I did not completely understand your proposal but it looks creative and worthwhile. I don't need further elaboration to jump on board. (Remember, I'm the guy who will sign up for Latin CP resources. )
Hopefully those number crunchers in Marketing do understand it and see a win-win in there somewhere.
Keep Smiling I did not completely understand your proposal
I did not completely understand your proposal
This is scary, because I think I do understand his proposal [8-|]
it looks creative and worthwhile
It is that, and quite interesting. One question, what would prevent someone from bidding on 60+ CP offerings, and then canceling them after receiving the discounts? Would that be dishonest? Unethical? Luke 16:1-9? [8-|]
I would love to see Interpretation go on sale for a great price….

Yes, even lower than it was in PrePub pricing.
Barth's Church Dogmatics for the prepub price of $300. Please, please, please!!!!!!!
Barth's Church Dogmatics for the prepub price of $300.
Please, please, please!!!!!!!
I would like to see this too!!!
How about a "New Interpreter's Bible & the Dictionary Combo" for $600? That is a 50% off Pre-Pub sale. You just have to order both.

Cancelling bids is a possibility along with more future orders. Current bidding system allows for order cancellation, too.
Thankful community bidding does not require upfront money; credit card charged when resource ships.
An annual sale of community pricing resources (with lackluster ongoing sales) at pre-publication price (or below) could be win-win for Logos and customers (especially if helps to promote community bidding to fund more resources). Keeps close of community pricing bidding as best deal while providing opportunity for promotional price on older public domain resources; may be years between community pricing close and resource appearing on sale.
Edit: community pricing promotion could include user bidding; high-end of range could start at pre-publication price (with an internal graduated sales $ goal by Logos); as bids are placed, price for resource reduces when enough bids cover a sales $ goal. If not enough bids placed within specified time frame (perhaps a month), completed resource removed from bidding promotion (maybe next time: a year or more later).
For example, Logos sales $ goal of $ 20,000 needs 100 bids of $ 200 for closing date (like current community pricing).
If 120 bids placed (20 % increase), sales goal becomes $ 21,000 (5 % more) while price per bidder drops to $ 175.00 (discount of 12.5 %)
If 140 bids placed (40 % increase), sales goal becomes $ 22,000 (10 % more) while price per bidder drops to $ 157.14 (discount of 21.5 %)
If 160 bids placed (60 % increase), sales goal becomes $ 23,000 (15 % more) while price per bidder drops to $ 143.74 (discount of 28.2 %)
If 180 bids placed (80 % increase), sales goal becomes $ 24,000 (20 % more) while price per bidder drops to $ 133.33 (discount of 33.3 %)
If 200 bids placed (100 % increase), sales goal goes to $ 25,000 (25 % more) while price per bidder drops to $ 125.00 (discount of 37.5 %)

Wallet would be crying [:'(] while reading and using resources [:D]
I would love to see this one : The Expositor's Bible Commentary (EBC) (12 vols.) by Zondervan
Thanks
I'd also like to see all the ex community pricing material offered again at the community pricing price. Since the development cost has already been recouped and there is no royalty on this material it should be doable.
Of more recent material, I'd like to see:

How about a 25% (for Dec 25th) discount on all products. That would be cool. Or better yet one free book of your choice under $25.
Just an idea.
But when the Catholic Library Builder was assembled I am sure a lot of Pre-Pub orders were canceled on the individual collections. Logos traded off a "sure sale" for a heavily discounted package. With the newly found savings, a user could buy all the Catholic resources that were not included in the Catholic Library Builder. This was a real sweet deal for those who would buy them anyway.

These would be top of my list:

But I'm interested in some of these also, depending on the price:

Hermeneia is floating to the top of my 'wish list'. Wouldn't mind seeing a good sale on AYBC as well.
This year, I'm probably out of the market due to a family crisis. But last year, it took $2,000 to participate in the "best deal." Small church ministry doesn't enable me to spend that much. (I've heard the same from a number of missionaries.) As a result, I ended up feeling priced out of Logos--after a very loyal 15+ years. My suggestion? Make A "best deal" ALSO available to those who can't afford more than $300.
How about some number of individual resources (singles or doubles) that can be put together (cafeteria) for a one-time "best-deal" purchase. Those who can afford more can spend more. Those who can't don't have to. Thanks for listening!
Yes, Donovan ... ' Wouldn't mind seeing a good sale on AYBC as well.'
Keep it up. I'll stay quiet.

I would love to have a chance to "round out" (update towards completion) several of the commentary sets that have had recent additions. When the upgrade volumes shipped from Pre-Pub this past year, I missed out on getting some of them. Logos used to roll these individual volumes into base packages. I recall a couple Word Biblical Commentary volumes and several upgrade sets to Crossway, Pillar and others.
Spurgeon Collection, Maybe a HUGE sale on the Yale Edwards Collection that is Pre-Pub
NIV Application Commentary: New Testament (NIVAC) (20 vols.)

It would be nice to have the same incredible discount percentage offered to everyone. My participation in last year's "best deal" was an unusual circumstance that factored in an understanding wife, and the ability to rearrange other plans. That type of situation is not the norm and is unlikely to happen often. Sometimes being told of something nice and then realizing you can't participate is more painful than never hearing about the missed opportunity at all. I hope to see some great deals for every interest and price range.
Oh yea! I second or third Hermeneia!

John F. Walvoord Commentary and Theology Collection (8 vols.) $87 regular price. Let's try for a $25 off discount [I]
I do not know if this can be discounted much since it is a third-party product from Galaxie software but it is on Logos.com and it is a great collection of commentaries on prophetic writings in the Bible and more.
I would like to see a substantial discount on individual volumes (I am glad the set was broken up).
Same for the Zondervan sets that I would like to see broken up and offered at a discount
I'd like to have an updated Socio-Rhetorical Commentary Series, including Keener's "The Gospel of Matthew" and Witherington's "Paul's Letter to the Philippians".
I would like to see The Dictionary of Deities and Demons in the Bible.

Haven't ever seen it discounted ... so far ..
Another thought is the Calvin 500 Collection.
The Expositor's Bible Commentary (EBC)
I'd like to see a NICE upgrade discount on the base packages. I didn't buy the right one in the middle of the year and want to go Scholar now. Also - Wayne Grudems Systematic Theology and anything by Calvin/Luther

I agree with Kirk! And on the Camp Logos videos. Any of the training materials discounted would be excellent!
I would like something like making a top ten wish list and get a personalized deal for these. Not useful for me and way too expensive are the bigger master bundle which are a real discount but with a lot of title I would not buy. I rather like to pick my own cherised ones and happy with it thinking of the special deal I have got....Something like this.
And for me...I would like to have the dutch bibles from SESB available. Now only the NBG1951 and the Statenvertaling are available outside the SESB. I would like that the other dutch bibles would be available also as individual titles.
And, please, making the new Herziene Statenvertaling available in Logos..now that would be a great christmas present !
