Look, I have spent a lot of money on Logos products in the last few years (I say this to show my great appreciation for Logos and their products) but recent changes in your marketing are becoming a lot like nagging. I and many other customers have to endure MULTIPLE email, homepage, twitter reminders FOR THE SAME PRODUCT over and over! This is getting out of hand and is becoming offensive. I liked the way you did with Libronix - in program alerts that you can set "don't remind me about this deal again." I believe with the current system (which is all or nothing - one cannot "silence" a deal that is of no interest to him) you are crossing the line between informing customers and nagging which will ultimately lead to loss of customers (by the virtue of them unsubscribing to the email notifications) and loss of revenue.
I am unsubscribing from all marketing communications from LOGOS (I am sure I will miss some good deals) for the time being. Please let me know if there are any changes implemented in your marketing efforts.
What I would like to see:
- ability to say "OK, I have seen the deal from Logos, it does not appeal to me at this time {or maybe I already acted on it and bought it 3 reminders ago}, don't remind me of it again" - I believe it would be easy to implement it "in-program"
- differentiate your mailing lists - right now they severely overlap, or maybe they are just repetitive? (LogosTalk, Last Chance, NewsWire, Weekly Roundup, etc.)
- have a single aggregating web page for all deals - this will let a customer see the most current deals WITHOUT annoying him with frequent repetition.
Does anyone have additional ideas of improving Logos' marketing?
