?bug - keyboard disappeared
When I went to the library in both Logos app and Vyrso today, the keyboard refused to sow up. The Logos app library only showed a handful of the 128 resources it said were downloaded. So without the keyboard, it was useless to me. In my vyrso library I could at least painstakingly work my way down through the library. I killed the logos app, but it resurrected with the same problem. The logos app library keyboard had disappeared before the recent update, but returned after the update. This is frustrating, particularly as I don't have wireless at home. Excellent apps, when they work.

No to both. I hope it may sort itself out next time I take it into town and go online.
Thank you for coming up so quickly with constructive suggestions. I could also try with wireless keyboard, but didn't want to break into my Bible study with major actions!

I have been unable to reproduce that behavior in Online or Offline modes. Try the above advice and then if that doesn't work you should try uninstalling and re-installing the app.
This does mean that you'd have to re-download all of your offline books again.
Thanks,

changing orientation doesn't help. But I think it's an iPad wide problem as keyboard didn't come up in my contacts list either. Downloaded library books not showing in Logos app is irritating. I don't want to have to reinstall and redownload if I can avoid it. I've spent hours downloading, twice.

It couldn't be something as simple as your wireless keyboard being currently paired and connected with your device, could it??

I've thought of that and will try playing with my wireless keyboard. But normally the iPad keyboard also comes up with wireless kbd. My wireless keyboard has been switched off and in a drawer for weeks.

it's an iPad-wide problem. I can get round it by using wireless kbd, but the idea of the iPad is that I can use it without extra gadgets. A mystery.

Incidentally I can now open logos app without needing to click on OK 21 times re books that are not downloaded. So maybe that's some progress!

seems unlikely, as it didn't before. I used to have both keyboards come up

iPad 5.0.1. Logos app 1.8.3.
I do appreciate you taking the trouble to try to find the cause of the problem and any possible solution. I should probably ask apple, but I doubt whether I should get anything like as much help if I did.

I also found the following online at cnet:
If your wireless keyboard is still connected to your iPad, or if another wireless keyboard has paired with your iPad, you may find that your software keyboard does not show up when expected. Tapping the eject key on the wireless keyboard should solve the issue. If not, try these steps.
Generally, when performing actions such as tapping on a text-entry field in a Web page, tapping on the URL-entry area in Safari, or typing in Notes or Mail, your software keyboard should show up if no wireless keyboards are paired and active with your iPad.
If it does not appear, and ejecting your wireless keyboard does not allow the software keyboard to appear, try unpairing the device by navigating to Settings > General > Bluetooth > Forget this Device. You might also try powering down the wireless keyboard that is causing the interference. If neither of these solutions work, try disabling Bluetooth by navigating to Setting > General > Network > Bluetooth.
You can also try resetting your iPad (hold the Home button and Sleep button at the same time until you see the Apple icon appear).

Thank you, Alabama, I had wondered about disconnecting thge wireless kbd, so took your advice and did so. My on-screen kbds reappeared! Tho previously I had both. I had already tried changing the split keyboard settings, but no joy there. I now have my on-screen kbd again. Thank you for your patience in exploring possible solutions.
