All I want for Christmas is to highlight and to sync
Many of us will start new bible reading plans on Jan 1. Wouldn't it be grand to have the ability to highlight and for sync to actually start functioning? It's been a long time coming, Logos.

In my opinion, highlighting and notes in the mobile app is the #1 missing useful feature. Why should I continually convert my books to kindle to highlight and take notes in them? Its crazy! Please!

Darryl, it has been said that this should be available before the first of the year... give them a month... and I know that you will love the product. There will be no need for any other bible software on you phone or pad.

I have the Holman NT Commentary on Romans that I'm using for a class, but I'm finding it terribly inconvenient to switch between the iPad and notebook computer every time that I want to make a highlight or note. My class will be done by the time that this feature is enabled. I'm ordering the iBooks copy for 9.99 today so I can highlight and take notes. I will miss the dynamic verse links, but half of the time they pull up the wrong verses anyway. Kind of funny, but for some reason when Romans verse numbers are cited it wants to pull up Proverbs. I would report them as typos, but you can't do that from the iOS version yet either.
Here comes Santa Claus. Here comes Santa Claus...

I would agree that two of the biggest missing features are highlighting and notes (I assume syncing is implied so that it syncs up with your other platforms)
The other huge one for me is not being able to really use resources effectively in offline mode because the indexing doesn't work. I travel internationally almost 50% of the time, and you can't afford data roaming, so unless you happen to be where there is wifi, your Bible software is completely crippled. There are so many good things about Logos 4 that this one almost makes me cry. Other less sophisticated programs like Olive Tree have solved this years ago. This is the single biggest downside for me with using this software.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Can you clarify?

You may want to look at this picture that Dan posted to twitter...
Very cool! I am assuming its pretty close then, otherwise not such a good idea to post on Twitter.

I'd wager "very" close since Dan is a notorious info-leaker.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

That is great. He jokes on Twitter that it might be a ways off, but if you are leaking something on Twitter it should be something coming very soon. It's not the same as a Dev posting a screenshot on the forums. Twitter is much more public. Highlighting and Notes on my iPad app are the two features I really need this year!

Somone post the pic please as I cannot access Twitter from work

Going to have to be a lot of work done between now and then, Logos 4.5 beta is far from satisfactory for most beta testers in its handling of annotations (highlighting and notes combined) and this is supposed to the platform for sync 2.0. As one poster said, I wouldn't want to be providing support for this..... I hope they do manage to get it right before end of year, but the cake is far from baked...hope its not taken out the oven to soon and sinks in the middle or we find an ingredient was missed in the mix...The marketing guys always get excited early on and at the end of the day Logos....don't get me wrong I like the direction taken but there are many unanswered questions..maybe beta 9 will answer some of them...off to check it out.

Wow, the cake metaphor reminds me of a song. Maybe in the time it takes to listen to MacArthur Park, highlighting, notes, and sync will be available on your iPhone.
And speaking of long songs, maybe in the time it takes to listen to the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Logos on my android will have parity with your iPhone [;)]

I believe that this is what several of us have been trying to say over the past 3 or 4 weeks... but several people have thought that we were just trying to keep everyone reigned in... soon is soon.

Don't worry, because we can't see it on the computer either. won't load using Safari/Mac.
