Sort Library by --

In my library if I type in "subject:--" I get a list of books that have two or three parts to the subject description which are separated by --. This shows up as a category when you sort the library by Subject, Tags or my Tags. I don't find this useful and am wondering if it could be declared a bug. Is there a reason for this I failed to see?

If you click on it, those books will be lacking tags for "My Tags"
At least that is the way mine shows up.

Actually, you are not sorting, but grouping the library according to subject (or any other field). The double dash represents the group of all those resources where the filed you are using is empty. Try it with e.g. series to see how it works - that's definitely not a bug.

EDIT: just noting that with series, there's no double dash but a blank field. Okay, the inconsistency could be a bug.

I have taken a look at my library. The majority of books that don't have a subject are 1) Vyrso books & 2) Personal Books.

I guess the thing that threw me off here was I originally typed subject:-- into the search window, and then didn't notice later what you are pointing out.
