Offline searching.

One major reason I bought my android tablet was to take my library with me on the street. if I cannot remember where that verse is, I want to be able to search for it.

The tablet isn't 3G and so all searches I try fail. When I am in WiFi range, it's fine, but on the street witnessing, forget it. It is more of a distraction than a help.

I understand that offline searching is coming but I still wonder why searching a resource residing right there at home is more difficult than searching the cloud.

Does anyone have an inkling when to expect offline searching? Or, does anyone have a workaround?

I have the same issue. Living in a remote part of Australia I only have limited access with my samsung phone I would like to have my Bible resources available were ever Iam, off-line or not.

I understand that offline searching is coming but I still wonder why searching a resource residing right there at home is more difficult than searching the cloud.

The resources need an Index on the phone to perform searching offline. If it follows the desktop pattern the Index would be several GB, but the phone doesn't have the horsepower to build one! So you have to use an Index on the Logos server until a suitable method is implemented for mobile devices.

You can download most of your resources to the phone for offline use; it's just that you cannot search them offline as yet (no timetable is available).
