Presentation Font Cache continually using 25% of my CPU

I wondered what was chewing up battery time one morning, so I paid close attention this time and found a process called PresentationFontCache.exe was taking 25% CPU time on my i5.  I killed it in Task Manager but it returned as soon as I started L4 again. It's a WPF process associated with Logos 4 and the advice to cure it was found at http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-performance/presentationfontcacheexe-uses-50-of-my-cpu/4200fe85-458f-4f19-b791-1fe5395304da

(or just Google with the exe name).

    There seems to be more than one solution listed there (2nd solution on 2nd page).

    Was your solution to delete the font*.dat files in C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\ and reboot the computer? Or did you set the priority to Below Normal or Low?

    Did you notice any speed improvements with L4 itself after your change?

    Did the first part but restarted the Windows Presentation font... Service rather than reboot.

    No. The exe is currently using 0% CPU so my battery life has more than doubled (back to normal).

    I checked mine but he's quiet.

    My bad boy is Wmiprvse.exe. Searching the web, angry people say turn him off (services) but MS says don't. I tried it and nothing happened but decided to turn him back on.

    I run full power with 12 cells and last maybe 10-12 hours or so (Lenovo x220t i7).
