Working Offline ?
the iphone app works very good for me for a initial release. Congretulations!
What I cant figure our yet is how to have my 1800+ libronix books transferred to my iphone (I have 32GB space) so I can access it when I am in "No Internet country" (as a missionary I frequently am, offline work is indipensible for me).
Is there a way to install the books on the iphone or am I missing something?

Not yet. It is planned as far as I know. I am waiting for that option too. So far I really enjoy the application.

I agree. I also work overseas and in sensitive areas. It would be wonderful to be able to have at least a handful of the books downloadable. Often it is impossible to access the internet. Thanks!

While it is a good initial release, this one problem makes it nearly useless in my area due to no 3G. Until that changes I will not likely be able to use it. My number 2 problem is that the books that I would want to read away from my PC are for the most part unavailable on the iPhone due to the foolish publishers who just don't understand the 21st century.

Yes, there are other iPhone Apps that allow downloading of books, such as Mantis Study Bible or YouVersion.
Logos should be able to give some of the library (if not all) the permission to download. Missionaries, travelers, no 3G users will greatly appreciate it. Sometimes you dont need access to the 300 resources Logos has but simply a Bible with a Commentary.
I have to keep other Bible Apps in my iPhone while Logos permits this

Currently the best for offline use are Mantis, OliveTree and Laridian PocketBible probably in that order. Tecarta is also a good package but Logos users will definitly feel limited as there are only a handful of books for it. YouVersion is semi useful offline as you can download a few books. When Logos fixes this one thing it will be far and away the best iPhone app. Until then it is not very useful.

I agree, the iPhone (or in my case iTouch) app is not very useful if you can not read the books offline. There currently are free apps for the iPhone/iTouch that allow for offline versions off Bibles such as the NKJV and Message. I wouldn't think making material available offline that was already paid for once would be such a big deal.

That's is because you are thinking rationally about it. The book publishing industry is scared to death of e-books since they are so foreign to their thinking of their dead tree industry. I'm not an environmentalist. I lived in central WI where trees were crops. But I have an iPhone, a Kindle and a Tablet PC where I read 90 percent of what I read. The ONLY time I don't read on one of those devices is if it is not available, it is Sunday morning/evening/wed night and I'm preaching, and very few other times. But the publishers don't get that.

I love this app! But I too would love to be able to store books locally. I have an iPod Touch, so I can only access my books when wifi is available.

Not sure what you mean. Do you know that you can download your books to make them available offline? In your library, click on the arrow on the right to view the resource information, then slide the button that says "Available offline." It will download to your ipod/iphone. The only problem is that not all resources are currently available.

Offline is great on the Logos app for the Iphone....wondering though, how do you quickly get a list of the books that are stored offline? The library list is huge, I want to know if there is a way to quickly see just those books that are stored on the iPhone....

You can do this one of two ways. You could simply put your device in airplane mode. Or, I've created an offline tag from my laptop so that I can search my library "offline" on my device.
