Sync Logos 4 library on PC with iPad 2
Is it possible to syncronise or share the Logos 4 library on the PC with the library on the iPad?

Yes, it should happen more or less automatically although not everything synchronizes yet.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Pedantically no! What you can to is access the copies of your resources found on Logo's servers. In due course we expect that your notes and highlights will be available as overlays on these resources. So you do have access to the equivalent of your PC library.
You have three options -
You can access your library online (recommended if you have a decent wifi or 3g connection)
You can download certain books for quick reference and reading and leave the rest online (still available by wifi or 3g)
You can download the whole of your library (but search etc will still need to be done online)
Neither the iPad nor iPhone apps are replacements for a laptop or desktop computer - please do not expect the full functionality on a mobile device.

Thank you Mike and MJ. Appreciate that the iPad is not a computer.
I have an existing Libronix Library that has books that I would like to access with Logos 4 and my iPad 2

First, welcome to the forums!
To add to what has already been said, I would first point out that the iOS mobile app is NOT the same thing as the desktop version of Logos 4. If you are interested in using the full version on your iPad, you can try using screen sharing software with your Mac or PC. Personally, I would not think the experience would be very good. The screen "Real Estate" would be too small.

Paul - I reread your post and it dawned on me that we may not be answering your real question. Is there something more you want to know? Logos has a mobile app that you can download. Visit the App Store to download.

Hi Mike,
with reference to your comment above regarding highlights, are you able to give any sort of estimate as to when highlighting of text in resources that are on my MacBook, will sync to my iPhone 4 in the same format.
Thanks

If the resources you have in Libronix are licensed for the iPad (check the product pages on Logos web site for the mobile symbol) then they will be available on your iPad for either download or online access.
You need to ensure that you log onto the same account with your iPad as you do with your existing system.

WarwickHi Warwick
Sorry I am not privy to that information and I must warn you that enquires of a similar nature that many users have made have been met with a 'we are working on it' response with no further information about the time frame or underlying problems.
The logos app is a reasonable ereader (bit course in design) for logos resources and has been blatantly mis-marketed. The argument that the app is free might have held water other than that some users have bought resources in the mistaken belief that the features advertised were available.

Thanks Mike. Its not without hope though Unfortunately, for the last 18 months I have been extensively using the NIV (1984) and Warren Wiersbes Expository Outlines on both the New and the Old Testaments, none of which were available on the iPhone App. I had assumed that all my resources would be available, and this was certainly a motivating factor in deciding to buy the iPhone. Having had various people/companies blamed for this when I enquired, the NIV recently popped up, and so I live in hope that progress is being made in all areas. It is certainly better than nothing at all, and as a by product, I am now moving away from the NIV as I am discovering some disquieting shortfalls when compared against other versions.

Hi Warwick
I was quite bemused by the outcry for the NIV when it wasn't available.
I much prefer the English Standard Version for study and the New Living Translation for reading aloud.
That said I have selected the 2011 NIV for this year's read through of the Bible using the M'Chyne program.

Gidday Mike,
We must be similar The ESV became my version to use if I was referring to the App, when the NIV was still a work in process, but have since found the NLT to be a lot clearer in the translation to todays english language. Thanks for your info, have a great and blessed 2012.
