I am supposed...
Greetings all,
I am supposed to be getting my Iphone 4s today...are there any steps or procedures that I need to know to help get that device going?
Thanks for your input...

I am happy you got 4S. I hear Siri is a hoot (and does not like southerners).

Dan - Are you wanting help with the device itself, or with Logos? To get Logos up & running, just visit the App Store (there is an app already installed to get you there) and search for "Logos." Once you have downloaded the app, you will enter your username & password.
Do you need help with other things?

Thanks Alabama...not sure yet...I can probably get Logos going...watch the videos again about how to view offline books...is there a setting on the phone that picks wifi first? and how do I know whether I am on wifi or 3g? Excited here...have to return a man's pc that I worked on and actually fixed (by the grace of God!) and then go pick up the phone!!!!
blessings,

It's not, I understand, to keen on Doric but that occurs far North of here, my brother lives in London and has no problem, and that is far South of here.
I imagine the Geordies have a bit of a problem as well but again they are relatively North.
Any news from New Zealand?

FYI - the mobile app videos are outdated and some things have changed greatly. If what you see on the videos doesn't look like your app, just come here! As for offline books... The following screen shot is from the iPad, but it should look similar on the iPhone:
is there a setting on the phone that picks wifi first?
I have an iPod touch, an iPad, and am getting my first iPhone next week. It is my understanding that the iPhone will default to wifi when available. I don't (yet) know how to tell if the phone is pulling from 3G or wifi.

If you have a wi-fi signal indicator in the top bar it is using wi-fi. You can double check this by going to Settings and looking at Wi-Fi where it will tell you which network you are using.
The only thing to watch out for is if you use an app like BTfon to seek out public hotspots - then you might find out that you are linked to the public access rather than the faster private one in range.
