Mixed signals from Logos?

This thread http://community.logos.com/forums/p/42616/318868.aspx#318868 contained the following disturbing exchange. Could someone from Logos please clarify?
Kevin Byford said:
This is a known issue and there are eventual plans to obtain feature parity but not in the near future.

This is a disturbing statement on any level. What has happened with Logos' commitment to feature parity?

I would not be pleased if Logos removed Windows functionality in order to achieve platform parity, and they have mentioned that some windows features cannot be realistically ported to mac.

(Highlighting by Super.Tramp) [:D] I guess that is one way of achieving feature parity. (taking every feature away from whichever platform is ahead....)
I can see how the statement can be read but I think the original intent of Kevon Byford was more along the lines of; " We know about this issue and we plan to bring this feature into parity status but we expect it will be later rather than sooner (because there is an underlying issue we developers know about and haven't been able to address without creating a bigger problem.)
Now how is that for spinning the original intent? One thing to remember is CEO Bob Pritchett (a programmer himself) is the person who sets policy for Logos. Don't read a major policy change into any statement made by others. (No disrespect to Kevin Byford intended. Watch out Kevin, these are shark infested waters on the forums. [:O])

I am perhaps less interested in feature parity than having a 'fully featured' Mac like program.
This is a non-performing feature and its performance should be fixed - this is after all the commercial release of the program - a release that has been out for quite a long time now.

This is why I asked for clarification, not a lecture [8-|]

Excuse me for further pointing out;
I imagine Bob Pritchett will answer his MVP's direct communique quicker than if he stumbles across a thread on New Year's Eve. [;)] I just emailed Bob to give him a chance to answer us. Bob Pritchett's email: Bob@Logos.com (lecture over [8-)] )

Kevin (who joined Logos just in the last month) was not announcing a change in our policy on Mac parity, but rather repeating what he had heard about how this particular bug wasn't going to be resolved "in the near future." It will be resolved, and more details are on the original thread, including an explanation of why it will be a little while before it ships.
Sorry for the confusion.
