There will be no difference between the 16 & 32 GB in terms of performance. Have you used an iOS device (iPod touch; iPhone; iPad) before? I received a 1st gen 64 GB iPad. I love it, but I would not purchase another 64 GB. Mine is loaded with 35 GB of music (my entire collection), tons of apps, and still has significant free space. The only (Logos) reason you would need the larger HD is if you plan on downloading every book you own. The app, however, is designed to be run from the "cloud."
Personally, I download a handful of books that I am reading at the time, or intend to read in the near future. That allows me to read even in the rare instance that I am not connected to wifi.

Rod - I started writing my previous post and was distracted before finishing. I didn't explain my reasoning very well. I LOVE the 64 GB, but you pay a premium for the extra space. Personally, I don't think it is worth the extra cost, unless you have a reason for needing it. I love having every song I own on my iPad, but it is not necessary. This is more true when you consider options like iTunes music match, which would allow you to download any of your songs at will.

I am looking at purchasing an iPad, but don't know if the 16gig or the 32gig will make a significant difference to my Logos usage...
Will Logos run better, be significantly more available, etc with a 32gig or is the 16gig sufficient?

The real question is wifi or 3g…. Since Logos requires a connection to run fully, you can save money by getting the wifi version (run you cell phone as a hot spot and connect your iPad to it). Just a thought. and if you are using it primarily where you have wifi access (home, church coffee shop (my church has no wifi, but i know some do ))….

It's the 16GB version with 3G and is PLENTY sufficient for my needs. I don't intend on ever needing to activate the 3G data plan, but as Dan said it is nice to have as an option.
Funny thing is if you get a used one the 3G and WiFi tend to be about the same price...

Actually you pay the premium for the 16GB at $499. If you double the memory it only costs you an additional $100. And doubling it again is only another $100. So the 64 GB is by far the best value.
I bought a 32 gig a year ago and it serves me very well. Tons of space still remaining. I do have to use the data package because we have no WiFi unless I'm close to a McDonalds or public library or similar place. The only downside is the battery life. About 4 hours. I understand the iPad 2 battery lasts significantly longer. That said, who knows what the next version will bring!
I would also love to know how you run a cell phone as a hot spot. Obviously not up on technology as much as the rest of you. We're stuck with Hughes net for satellite internet, having no other option out in rural areas. AT&T for cell phone as Verizon doesn't reliably cover this area. All said, very expensive for service provided.
I also have the iPad 1 at 32GB for more than a year, with hundreds of Logos ebooks downloaded for offline use (plus many other apps including Kindle reader and OliveTree with dozens of books). I also have dozens of songs on the device, but not too many photos or videos. So far it has served me well.
I just checked in Settings and it is showing:
- 10.8GB available
- 17.7GB used
- App using the most storage is Logos, 4.1GB (all other apps use < 800MB)
I'm looking forward to see what the rumored iPad 3 has to offer and decide whether to upgrade to a new one.

I don't know about nokia but the iPhone has a '`Personal Hotspot' setting in preferences. If you are only using 3g occasionally and are underusing your inclusive allowance then this is an option. I rarely make significant inroads to my 1 gig inclusive allowance - but then again I am rarely in a 3g area and running it under E or slower is painfully slow.

This is a question for your cell phone provider. The major carriers in the US make it difficult to do this (called tethering).

Most smart phones can, iPhones have hot spot built in as of iOS 5, replacing the tethering option. I know Androids have hot spot as well. http://www.joiku.com/ sells the hot spot application for symbian but I saw the e6 listed as compatible, you would have to contact hem to see if yours is a compatible model. Their free version http://www.joiku.com/products/joikuspot_light seems listing yours as compatible. But note this free version makes an open network only… So anyone could use your phone's data.

I love the 64 gig due to everything I use it for. But, the main thing for me was making sure it was a 3g as well as wifi so that I have the net even if there is no wifi........
