L4 seems to have gotten a little more snappy and responsive with Beta 14. Am I dreaming? Is anyone else noticing this.
Yes. I've noticed a quicker response when opening layouts and resources in general.
Even with indexing in progress, opening layouts and resources seems noticeably faster.
Keep Smiling [:)]
Hey Bradley (and the others on the development team)
Thank you for whatever you did under the hood. Keep going in this direction[Y]
I DO notice!!
Thanks Bradley and team!

Good to hear from you, Robert. Where've you been?
Maybe we could get you to post this with each beta... I THINK it's better, each time I see someone say this, no matter what the clock says. LOL [;)]
(All kidding aside, many thanks for all your efforts for us, Logos team. We don't appreciate you anywhere near enough!)
Less problems in Beta 14. Smels like 4.5 Release Candidate is at the door
Aw shucks . . .you guys are having all the fun and here I'm stuck at home with dial-up so I can barely download my email [:'(] I need a faster internet connection.

Yes, but you are improving your post count[:)]
Still to settle the issue of Sync'ing large numbers notes (Tom Collinge thread)

Fred's not dreaming, but if it helps him to sleep...
The improvement seems to be in areas that my computer handles well or because my layout is fairly simple.
This post caught my attention because I noticed my notes being more responsive....I don't have quite the lag I use to have when typing (and waiting for the Note to catch up). Now, the lag is so minimal on my desktop it is acceptable for my studies.

Check that...once I got a few hundred words into my notes, the drag has become increasingly worse. Now, there is anywhere from a .5 lag to as much as a full second.
Sorry - but a slightly different view here.
I was using L4 yesterday with a fairly large number of resources open in a layout and trying to enter some information into a notesfile and it was very slow!
I'll see what today brings.

Hi Bill.
It was very quick today, much better!
I am hoping I just had a local glitch.

After restarting my PC the lag has disappeared (my note is over 1,000 words). While it is not as crisp (never has been) as writing in MS Word (or, this post), it is at least once again acceptable for studying.
If I have performance improvement lasting longer than 4 hours am I supposed to see a doctor? [:D]
