Updated Wiki page on creating milestones and datatype links - feedback requested

It was pointed out on another thread that the Wiki page wasn't all that helpful when it came to explaining how to creating datatype links for things other than Bible references or Strong's numbers. I've therefore added this explanation to the Wiki page. I'm conscious that there's a lot of explanation, and it could have done with some illustration. I resisted that because (a) I'm lazy, (b) I assume people attempting to do this will be reasonably competent, (c) I don't want this explanation to take over the page.

So, would some folk who think they would benefit from knowing how to do this, and some who already know how to do this mind looking it over and offering some constructive criticism. You can use the second approach (start a search) in both cases (i.e., for 1. a resource that supports the data type, and 2. a resource that links to it). In the 1st case, right-clicking on any text in the verse/section that is the desired target of the link will show one or more "Reference" items on the context menu. Pick the appropriate one and start a search to get the internal data type name and (long) rendered form.

(It's also clear that this isn't as easy as it could be for authors creating a lot of data type links.)

Thanks, very much or the feedback, Bradley. I had the same thought and added a brief note to that effect myself. I'll expand that today.

Actually (and this is an omission in the text as it stands), you can use the entry in the reference box to create the reference part of the article. So if you're creating lots of links to the same datatype, you can just use that, which is relatively easy. But it certainly would be nice for a "Copy Datatype Link" to be added to the right-click menu.

I'll look at the description as soon as I can, Mark. My main concern is having a large embedded tutorial when it could be referenced as a separate wiki page.

I have found this page helpful, but I have found a case where I can't make it work.

The resource link is: logosres:plinyminletterslat;ref=Pliny$5Fthe$5Fyounger.Plin.,_Ep._8.22.3;off=256

This link works. - well - it displays it twice like all such links, but you know what I mean.

also works.

However, I can't seem to get it to work the type.

Pliny$5Fthe$5Fyounger.Plin., Ep. 8.22.3

and

do not work.

Got it to work - replaced the $5F with underscores....
