Hey! they just broke this collection up!
As much time as I have spent on the Logos website, I still miss when collections become available for individual purchase. Let's use this thread to inform each other of the newest collections that are now available individually.
** Please do not use this thread to suggest or wish a certain collection be broken up.**
That being said, the last five collections to be broken up:
1.) N. T. Wright Collection (34 vols.)
2.) Continuum Near Eastern History Collection (13 vols.)
3.) Interpretation: A Bible Commentary for Teaching and Preaching (INT) (43 vols.)
4.) Brill Philo Studies Collection (2 vols.)
5.) J. C. Ryle Collection (18 vols.)
You will find them as they come available on the New Products page. Those listed above come within the first ten pages of the new products list (at 15 results/page)

I notice they seem to break up collections right before Christmas. Then they put some of the resources in special offers (like the 12 days of Christmas sale). Same thing happens before the March Madness sale.
That's why I've held off on buying Ryle's Holiness--in case it shows up in a special offer.

Just wanted to point out here that buying these books individually is not advised.
The collection is $199 for two books. The book prices individually are $195 and $234. There is no reason for this collection to be broken up when for the price of the cheaper book you can have both.

Yes, just emailed some friends to say they can buy individual volumes.
That's great: even with the Facebook Fans special, the entire collection was still beyond some, so this is a good move.

Peace and Blessing and a Happy and Healthy New Year, Paul! *smile*
Thanks for the information; and thanks much for all of the wonderful and positive posts you have written to enrich these forums. Much appreciated indeed!
However, even breaking them up might not be too helpful if the pricing is outrageous, eh?
Look at this one: Can that be a mistake or is Logos serious????? I'd love to "devour" this book but not at that price!
Psalm 78:4
Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

Yes, I believe this is the correct price. I say this because it is the same price on amazon.com.

Wow! The resource is listed as 165 pages <Rick brings out the calculator to double check> yup, over $1 per page. [:S]

A happy and healthy and blessed New Year to you, Tom! *smile*
I`m sure you are correct; however, that`s a pretty steep price for a single book when the whole collection of 18 vols can be obtained for 500 USD.

I got this set when it was a pre-pub, and I love it. One reason why I have several of these sets comes from the fact that a lot of the books are very very very expensive. Sheffield Academic publishes a lot of thesis papers, and thesis can be $$$$.
This is very common with some academic resources.Rick said:Wow! The resource is listed as 165 pages <Rick brings out the calculator to double check> yup, over $1 per page.
Why this product is so expensive, I do not have a clue.

I do not doubt this one bit but even within Logos? I must admit that I have bought very few truly academic resources outside of my base package. My understanding of what the academic category truly means may be flawed as well. Academic for me is a good dictionary such as AYBD, ISBE etc. [:)]

While there is negotiations between Logos and the publisher, Logos does not set the price; the publisher does.
AYBD and ISBE are excellent academic recourses. There are also other items that are written by people who are in the academic field for other people within the academic field, and these recourses tend to be very expensive (and very hard to read).
