"Clean" reading view? (No footnotes, maybe even no verse numbers?)
Hi all!
I'm embarking on a challenge with my friend to read through the whole Bible in 90 days. It's a pretty fast clip, but it's beena real blessing!
I've been largely using the iPad app to do this, because I also want to compare some different translations while I do it (our church body is currently trying to figure out what to use for its publications, NIV2011, HCSB, ESV, etc., and I'd like to have a good chunk of experience with each) and the app makes it easy to switch things up as I read. Easier than carrying around 3 or 4 paper Bible certainly!
Is there a way that I could display the text without the footnote links? Or maybe even turn off the verse numbers as well? I'd like to make it a "clean" experience as I move swiftly through the text without anything getting in the way, and that would help a lot. I've not used it at all; would the Vyrso app be able to do this?
Thanks!
Tim

Hi Tim
Sorry I don't believe there is any way to do what you are looking for on the iPad app
You can do this in Logos 4 - using "Bible Text Only". This gets rid of the cross-references but retains verse numbers.

Edit: Sorry, I should have added that you can't do this in the Vyrso app either.

Or maybe even turn off the verse numbers as well?
[Y] for option to turn off chapter and verse number display.
In Logos 4, Thankful for option to build a Personal Book Bible without Chapter and Verse numbers => American Standard Version 1901 - Personal Bible without Chapter and Verse #'s (dreaming about sync to my iPad some day).
Keep Smiling [:)]
