The super and sub script buttons are doing nothing in my notes. Good news is everything else seems to work!
The super and sub script buttons are doing nothing in my notes.
Apologies: using Logos 4.5 RC 1 on Mac OS X 10.6.8 (with dedicated graphics) unable to replicate.
Keep Smiling [:)]
Confirmed on OS 10.5.8 Additionally, Bold, Caps, & Color do not work
Using 10.7.2 Bold, Caps, Color and Super and Sub Scripts work.
The indent buttons don't.
But bold is almost a default, have to change it in each notes. I have to switch it.
Using OSX Lion, Macbook Pro 2011 model
Sub- and superscript are not supported by all fonts. Helvetica, for example does not support them, so the buttons will not change the text. The same is true for Small Caps.
I've responded regarding the indent buttons here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/43890.aspx
Philana~ to change rich text default settings in Notes press the 'Esc' key to make sure no note item is active and then change the settings.
Thanks for letting us know about the font issue with super and sub script. I tried a number of different fonts but haven't found one that works. Do you have one you suggest we try that works on your system?
Sub- and superscript are not supported by all fonts.
Gentium does appear to support sub- & Superscript in MS Word, but not in L4 Mac Notes with Mac OS 10.5.8
Athelas Logos will support super and subscript as well as small caps.

I'm not sure why that is. It may be that the Gentium font in Logos is different than the Gentium Basic that is in Word. I'll see if I can get some clarification on that.

Should be the same font, unless Logos went to the extra trouble of embedding. I only use a single Gentium from Font Book
We do embed Gentium and other fonts in our application to ensure their availability within Logos. Gentium, like numerous other fonts, does not include support for super- and sub-script. Word appears to be modifying the baseline and size of the font in order to mimic the appearance super- and sub-script, which can sometimes lead to small, illegible text since the font does not support the feature.
Thanks for the explanation. However, Gentium is a rather appealing font while Athelas Logos is not. Furthermore, since it is a non-standard font, if I attempt to export my note to another application, I get rather ugly font substitution.
