Is there an option to highlight according to reference, or is only selection?
I searched the forum, but haven't found the answer (although it may be listed somewhere.)
I'd like highlights/underlines to follow the reference, not only the selection within a Bible passage. That way, when switching Bible versions, the emphasis follows. Is this possible?
BTW, I'm THRILLED to have Notes/Highlighting. Good job, D.Dunkin.

Dear Josh,
I cannot see that it is possible to highlight by reference (someone will correct me if I am wrong).
However, with the merging of notes and highlights, there is a more than acceptable workaround.
As it is indeed possible to attach notes to versified resources, you might wish to create a specific note file (highlights by reference, for example) and then attach blank notes to the versified resources, making sure that you are set to 'reference' as per the screenshot below
,You should find that you have all of the highlighting options available through the note file.
I am still getting my head around 4.5 and have taken a similar approach in some of my annotations. The only downside is that you will have note files floating around with nothing other than highlights. Also, I am not sure you are able to use shortcut keys to add notes.
There is an interesting discussion here regarding notes and highlighting in 4.5.
If there is a better way, someone will, no doubt, respond.

As Andy wrote, unfortunately, the answer is no. There are at least a couple of reasons:
- Unless you want entire verses highlighted, underlined, etc. How would Logos know what you wanted highlighted? For example: Paul had a tendency to write LONG sentences in Greek. Modern translations, especially those which are more "dynamic," have a tendency to break those sentences down. Did you want the entire Greek sentence highlighted? The English?
- If you are concerned about just certain phrases/words, you would need to have a reverse interlinear associated with the bible, but not all Bibles do (actually most don't).
Some have suggested something similar, but I would think it would be very hard to accomplish unless the only thing you wanted was an entire verse highlighted with only one style (i.e. yellow marker). That would be more doable, but I don't see much benefit in it.
