Didn't we used to be able to use a two-fingered swipe to the left to go back to a previous reading location? This does't seem to work now.
Is there a quick way of going back without revealing the controls?

After two days of not working, it was just waiting for me to write this post before it started working again!

It actually seems to be a two-fingered swipe to the right to go back: that is probably where I was going wrong. That seems counterintuitive to me in my left-to-right world.
