Running Logos on an iPhone
Hi there!
Is there any difference running Logos in a 3GS versus a 4s, provided they have the same amount of memory (32GB)? Price is not the question here, only compatibility, performance, clarity of screen (to strain my sight less), etc.
I'd appreciate sharing your experience, from every perspective.
Blessings,
Gabe.

Dear Gabe,
I have an iPhone 4, but have used Logos on a 3GS.
In my experience, the Logos app performs significantly better on the iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 processor is faster than the 3GS. Furthermore, retina display was added with the iPhone 4 which provides a far better (and clearer) reading experience.
I would advise (should finances allow) that you pass on the 3GS and instead go for the iPhone 4 or even the iPhone 4S. I understand that the performance boost between the 4 and the 4S is not as significant as the difference between the 3Gs and the iPhone 4.
God bless,
Andy

The only thing I would add to Andy's comments are that as features are added, older technology may not be able to accommodate. In another thread, a Logos employee hinted that all features may not work on a 2nd gen iPod Touch. I think that is similar to an iPhone 3Gs.

Welcome to the forums Yolanda! I am not sure if there is an underlying question to your question, but no, you do not need a 32GB iPhone. In fact, the mobile device is designed to run in the cloud, so the base model would work just fine. You can download books if you want to, and depending upon how many apps, movies, and music you want to cary with you, it may be worth getting a larger capacity phone. I have the base model.

Up until recently, I had the iPhone 3gs 32gig and was able to run Logos without issue. Recently upgraded to an iPhone 4s and noticed the improvement of the Retina display, but otherwise the performance had been about the same.
The release notes say the new version of the app requires iOS 4+, which means software support is plenty ample for the 3gs which is able to run the newest iOS.
As for storage space, a 16 gig iPhone should be able to run it fine.

Thanks Alabama,
I have been a Blackberry user for a long time and want to upgrade to the iPhone.
Just wanted to be sure 16GB was good. Thanks again for the info and the quick
response. [:D]
