STILL CRASHING
I almost had it working just a moment ago...but then it crashed. Again.
Even had my reading plan on the screen...current, in fact. But...crash
I have tried the delete and reinstall...and then I read in some post where you said not to do that.
But since I had already done it once...I did it again. I deleted and reinstalled.
It worked. I had read in the notes where there was an issue with Twitter. So I didn't sign it in with Twitter.
Still was working.
It wanted to download a Bible. I said ok.
Still working.
Then I got greedy. I tried to download a second book.
Crash.
Now I'm trying another reinstall.
Is this going to get any better any time soon?
Getting frustrated, because this app could be. so. good.

Chris - Welcome to the forums! Sorry you are having troubles.
I have tried the delete and reinstall...and then I read in some post where you said not to do that.
It is my understanding that this suggestion was to make sure you didn't lose any notes / highlighting that you had made on your mobile device. If there was another reason for this warning, I am unaware of it.
Did you try these steps?
- Delete the app completely.
- Re-download the app, but do not open it.
- Do a hard shut down (press and hold both buttons, then use the slider).
- After a minute, restart the device.
- Open the app, but DO NOT allow it to download anything (i.e. it will ask you if you want to download your bible. click cancel)
- Try to just let the app sync for a while. You can keep an eye on the spinning wheel.
Is this going to get any better any time soon?
Sorry, I don't know. What I do know is that there are certain problems right now which are being addressed. Your issues may or may not be a part of those being addressed. Either way, the app will not heal itself... ultimately there needs to be an update, which will hopefully come soon.

I've given up on trying to use it at all until the update comes through. I did, however, think it might help if I found a dead cat, swung it around my head three times, spit into the wind, and said the magic words 4.5 times it would somehow make the app function correctly. This did not work so I am trying to employ patience. Not my strong suite...

UPDATE: My method has worked for me in the past, but is not working right now. I deleted my Vyrso app to double check my steps and I am experiencing the same crashes. I do know that 1) My method has worked multiple times in the past and 2) it is not working now. [:S]
The best course of action is probably to take Garrett's advice. Not about the cats.

The only thing that works is to turn on the airplane mode. Dead cats don't fly.

And you don't mess around with JimThe app is crashing regularly for me as well. I just have to have it open on a bible. It is good for a minute then crashes back to to app screen. Repeatable.

How frustrating, especially when some people aren't having a problem with it...makes it harder to figure out what is going on usually.
Airplane mode takes you offline and then it works, but once you go back online...crash!
I was bummed that I couldn't use it in church Saturday night or home church yesterday.
I sure hope a (re-) or new release comes out this week...looking forward to the new features...for a while now.

They are on beta 2 of an update.
I thought I had read somewhere that there was already an update submitted to iTunes. So it may take a while longer yet for a fix??
If so, is it possible to revert back to the previous version so I can at lease USE my app?

"RC" stands for "Release Candidate." My answer does not tell you when the fix will be released, but it does tell you where the process stands. I don't know if there will be an RC2 or not - it depends upon whether any significant issues pop up. Once the developers feel things are good to go, they will submit the app to apple for review. Once it has been approved, the app will appear as an automatic download for you in the app store.

2.0.2 (Logos app and Vyrso) have appeared in the app store.
However when I try and download them I send to end up with 2.0.1
Can anyone comment on this?
