Suggestion: A Way To Disable Gestures

I use a Magic Trackpad. Sometimes I go to right click something in Logos (using the two finger click) and my fingers unintentionally slip a little, activating a gesture and causing some unintentional action -- the worst being "close tab."

I know I could assign another way of right-clicking to the Magic Trackpad, like click in the lower left corner, or just use control-click, but I've used the two finger right click for years and it is the best for me.

I would suggest that there be a way to disable gestures via the Preferences -- please.

Far better would be for Logos to give us the 'real mac experience' they promised in the first place and make gestures work sensibly with their program.

We got on board on faith - some of which has yet to be realised.

I posted a comment in your user Voice thread, asking also for the ability to make the gestures Use Customizable and also to implement the normal Swiping actions natural to MacOSX like in safari or even google chrome browser. I also gave the post 3 Votes ;-)

Is there an option to still change the title of your thread or at least add the call for normal OSX Gestures, so people can find that too when searching? I didn´t want to open another thread for that, so more votes will be combined together.

Logos User Voice suggestion => Logos 4 Mac Enhancements includes "... multi-finger gesturing for Magic Mouse, Magic TrackPad, and MacBook track pads on all supported Mac OS X versions."

Agree, a way to turn off gestures would be nice.

I experienced the same problem all the day. Please allow us to turn it off.

And even better, Logos should start to implement it in the multi touch way. So PC and Mac should NOT be unified in this gesture aspect.

KSFJ, I am on Lion, which spreads the preferences out over three panes. What exactly are you looking for? If you are wondering about what kind of secondary click I use, it's the two-finger click.

I also, looking at your screenshot, do not use the tap to click/secondary taps, because my hands have a slight shake that make using taps tough.

Curious about scrolling ? Personally use two finger scrolling and have not encountered Logos 4 Mac gesture surprises.

By the way, found an Apple support article about OS X Lion preferences => http://support.apple.com/kb/PH4620 (albeit no screen shots).

Correct -- it does not occur with scrolling. It only happens with the "two finger click," when you actually press down on the Magic Trackpad with two fingers, and then slip your fingers a slight bit while holding down (you could try this).

I suspect one wouldn't have the issue occur at all with the "Secondary Tap" setting that you use.

Concur: after enabling one finger secondary click on Mac OS X, was able to push down on Magic Trackpad (click in secondary area), then start Read Aloud with a gesture and Close Tab with another gesture when trying to stop Read Aloud.

My trackpad tap preferences are customized settings, which seems to avoid Logos 4 Mac gesture surprises (albeit does need a bit lighter touch since tap does not click).
