An enjoyable evening's read with the family

Normally Saturday nights are spent in front of my desk, doing any final reading and preparing necessary before Sunday. Tonight, that included reading one of Spurgeon's sermons on the text I'll be preaching tomorrow. Normally, this has to be done at my desk in case I come across anything that I want to note. But with 2.0.2 of the iPad app, I was seated comfortably in my living room with my wife and one of our kids (7 month old twin; she didn't want to sleep). In the midst of being climbed on, chewed on, and slobbered on, I was able to enjoy - and annotate - Spurgeon's sermon on 2 Peter 1:10-11. I wouldn't have been able to do this without 2.0.2. Even with a print book, it would have been more difficult, trying to juggle book pages and highlighter while amusing a baby.

I've had my criticisms of the iPad (and desktop) apps, but for tonight's experience, I am grateful.
