Kindle Fire - Working Offline?

I have the Logos app on my Kindle Fire. Is there a way to use the app offline (not connected to WiFi)? I live in a rural area and do not have access to free WiFi. I'd like to use Logos on the Fire for Bible studies at church.

Is there documentation somewhere for how to use the Logos app (for Fire or Android... I assume the instructions would be similar)?

Thank you!

    Welcome Bev

You need to download selected resources onto your device:

    • go to Librarry
    • find a resource
    • tap the arrow > icon on the right
    • tap  "download"

You need to be online to do this.

Not many functions are available offline but you will be able to read resources.

Thanks for the quick reply, Dave! I will do that the next time I am able to go online. Can resources be searched offline? And can more than one resource (e.g., a Bible and a commentary) be open at the same time while working offline?

No offline search as yet  --> see http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34373.aspx

Yes, and they can be linked (both must be on the device).

Okay. Thanks very much. Great that they can be linked.

Just to clarify my question and your answer regarding search: Is the answer different if the search is within an open resource rather than through all resources (i.e., cross-library, to use the terminology in the FAQ)? The FAQ doesn't mention searching within an open (in use) resource.

You can only search online. The default is to search the current resource**, but you can choose from ALL recently accessed ones, ANY recently accessed resource or Entire Library.

** in split screen tap in the resource pane to get the menu!
