Sync is not working on my iPad 1 but seems to be ok on my iPhone 4S

Hi,

I've tried re-install, hard reset, re-download on my iPad 1 but I can only see the palettes sync but not the highlights. I've using iPhone v2.0.2 and PC 4.5a Beta 4. I've given up on getting the highlights synced.

On my newly purchased iPhone 4S, both palettes and highlights were synced but I noticed that some of the favorite folders are empty on the iPhone but not on the PC.

Has anyone got highlight syncing working smoothly yet especially on the iPad 1?

I've a huge database of highlights on my PC.

Thanks.

Let me start with the easy one first...

I noticed that some of the favorite folders are empty on the iPhone but not on the PC.

The only "favorites" that will show up on your mobile device are actual links to pages in books. I am fairly certain you will find that your "empty" folders on your iPhone are because you have something else in them (i.e. passage lists, etc.)

I've tried re-install, hard reset, re-download on my iPad 1 but I can only see the palettes sync but not the highlights.

I've a huge database of highlights on my PC.

The issue could be the amount of highlights you have. I have been corresponding with someone else with large highlight/note files. Can you tell me how many pages printed the note files would be (DONT actually print them![;)])

    Alabama,

Thanks for responding so quickly to my problem.

First concerning the "favorites", those empty folders does point to actual links to pages in books.

Second I've tried to count the pages of each palette using A4 size paper and Logos 4.5a beta 4 crashed repeatedly. However I finally got the total no. of pages to be 1,500 pages.

I haven't get my iPad to sync yet.

    Thanks.

That is puzzling, but it may be related to the large amount of info your account is trying to sync.

    Gulp. [:S]

I think Logos will have to take a look at your account. If no one gets back to you here soon, please "bump" the thread.

    Hi Gerard,

I am aware of sync issues that customers with large amounts of notes are experiencing.  This is a high priority and we are working on solving the issue.

    Hi Kevin,

The main issue is still that I can get some sync on my iPhone 4S but not on my iPad 1. My iPhone 4S comes with 64GB memory. Could it be because of iPad 1 speed and memory giving the problem? Although my iPad 1 is 32GB, I've tons of apps loaded on it whereas my iPhone 4S is newly purchased with lesser apps even after syncing with PC and apps from iPhone 3GS restored to it.

I've never seen a highlight from my PC synced to my iPad 1 but I saw some synced to iPhone 4S. My iPad 1 will "sync" for about an hour or so before giving up and crashed.

I'll be glad to give as much feedback as possible but I need my highlights synced to my iPad very badly.

    Thanks.

How full is it? How much space is left?

When the new iPad app was originally released I was able to see and sync highlights to and from my iPad1. Since the syncing was halted for corruption issues I have not been able to do either, my highlights from the iPad do not show up on my desktop and vice versa.

iPad 1 still has 13.2GB. Still quite a bit but my iPhone 4S has 47GB and much lesser apps.

My iPhone 4S doesn't keep syncing (spinning wheel) whereas the iPad 1 does.

    Hi Gerald,

Do you know the version of iOS you are running on your iPad?  If you go to Settings and then to About, it should show the version of iOS.  Please let me know... thanks!
