Can you make chapter links with PBB's yet?
Thanks,
Steve
Can you clarify exactly what you mean? Thanks.
Mark,
Hyperlinks from the table of contents to each chapter.
thanks,
I'd be interested in the answer to this as I tried to do this using MS Word's hyperlinking feature (using Mac Word 2011), but they didn't make their way into the PB on Logos.
Paul,
In the past that is what happen with me, but I just linked the contents in a PBB. Maybe this was fixed in a recent update. PTL
Yes, you can do it.
If you just try to create cross references to the headings (rather than hyperlinks to the bookmarks) it won't work in Logos.
See http://www.computorcompanion.com/LPMArticle.asp?ID=320 for more information on how to use Word to do this.
And that's where I was going wrong. Thanks Mark.
Unless I'm missing something that can be done by tagging each chapter with a Word Heading style.

Yes, the built in Word Table of Contents generator does work.
Yes, that generates the TOC panel. But if you also want to have a textual TOC in the body of your book (which many do if they're converting an existing book that has a TOC in the early pages), you need to set up the hyperlinking on that yourself manually.

Thanks Rosie.
not sure thats right Mark,
I make my chapeters "Header 2", and then hyperlink to them (place in this resource)
When i compile I see
clicking on "Sermon I" takes me there
seems to be working for me.. I am using Word 2007, maybe its a bug in 2010?
We're both right. I hadn't realised that hyperlinks to chapter headings worked (I hadn't noticed that feature in Word to be honest). That's good to know (it saves a step). My original comment was regarding Cross-References, which not only creates a hyperlink to the heading, but also makes sure that the heading text in the link mirrors the text used in the actual heading. These work in Word, but not in a compiled PB.
It could be a bug in Mac Word 2011 as headings hyperlinks failed to work in Logos 4, but bookmark hyperlinks worked perfectly well.
[I guess I must be talking about cross-references.]
I'm using Word Header 2 to make a Table of Contents,
Is there a way to retitle your chapters so that they are not the same as what appears in the text?
For example, in existing Logos Bibles, the Chapters are marked "Chapter 1", "Chapter 2", Chapter 3", etc. However, the text "Chapter 1" does not actually appear in the book. I'm trying to mark chapters in the same way.
If I understand you correctly, I think the following should work:
(I can't remember if you actually need to change the font size if you use hidden text; perhaps the whole line 'disappears' then anyway.)
No guarantees, but I think I've done this in the past and made it work.
fgh, thank you for the reply.
I tried a hidden, white, size 1 font, but unfortunately it still shows up in Logos in a small but readable black.font.
I'll see if I can locate the text I tried this on tomorrow.
