Activation of Logos 4

I am trying to install Logos 4 for my pastor Lee Miller. I was handed 12 Logos 3 discs and a folder for Logos 4. At the time I thought the Logos 4 folder with two discs was a promo item.

I mistakenly installed Logos 3, the only key I could find was on the back of the Logos 4 folder and I entered that key code for Logos 3. Later I realized my mistake, uninstalled Logos 3 and loaded Logos 4. I entered the key code on the back of the Logos 4 folder and it will not activate. How can I get out of this mess !!!!!.

Libronix 3 and Logos 4 can peacefully coexist on the same computer; suggest using same Logos.com account for both.

There is no code entry for Logos 4. That may be the code for the Logos 3 Scholar's Library.

Try to install Logos 4 from this installer:

http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/Logos4Setup.exe

Once Logos 4 is installed and starts up it will ask you to log in. You must log in with the owner's (your pastor's) Logos account email address and password (you'll need to get this from him.)

Once you log in Logos will search your pastor's account for resources it knows he should have and Logos 4 will begin to download them. All the Scholar's resources should download.

If for some reason your pastor never unlocked his Logos 3 discs (assuming they are different from the Scholar's Library discs) and then synchronized his licenses over the Internet, those Logos 3 CDs could be an issue. They needed to be unlocked with individual codes (which he may not have given to you.) Hopefully he unlocked them and synched licenses. If so, then Logos 4 will also download all those resources as well.

Start by installing Logos 4 and logging in with the correct email address. See where you get with that and if resources seem to be missing after some downloading finishes, get back to us.

There is no code entry for Logos 4. That may be the code for the Logos 3 Scholar's Library.

Observation: if Logos 4 was initially purchased at a conference, retreat, ... , then the folder (with media inside) does have a serial number that is needed during installation to associate base package resource licenses with Logos.com account (which may be created during initial installation).

One way to check serial # association with your Logos.com account is logging into http://Biblia.com with your Logos.com account. Without serial #, Biblia.com can open 50 resources. With serial # association, Biblia.com can open many more resources. Note: I can access 89 % of my Logos 4 library using a mobile device or Biblia.com; Thankful that Logos is negotiating with publishers for mobile resource access without requiring Logos users to pay for resource license again. Thankful for Logos licensing: pay once, then use as I desire on my electronic devices.

HMM. With everything downloaded, what is the need? Is Logos still selling base packages via CD/DVD??

Perhaps this is an older copy, but if it was ever activated there is no need for a code now, just the right email address and password.

Yes, as KS4J noted, when Logos sells base packages at conferences it is via disc. If I want to buy someone a Logos package as a gift I can get a DVD with an activation code so a physical gift can be given.
