Sorry if this has been asked umpteen times but...how do people look up words when reading a book in the app?

Im finding it a bit of a nightmare because every time I come across a word I don't understand I find I would have to do a whole search before I can find anything as well as be taken away from the page I am on...basically, it's too distracting.

We know apps such as Kindle and iBooks have a quick dictionary lookup which pops up at the bottom of the page you are on, but It seems a bit of a task to try to find the meaning of a word in Logos.

Has there been any comments on why Logos doesn't support a similar feature for a dictionary?

I made a similar comment in the Vyrso forum but did not gain any traction. I would also love this feature.

I too would love to see this feature.  The tap and hold feature should be "context-sensitive"...in other words, when in a Bible, it works as it currently does to allow a BWS, etc...but while in other books, it should be able to look up words in an English dictionary.  It would also be nice if tap and hold were further expanded to give options to look up Bible words in Bible dictionaries as well as being able to do a Bible Word Study.

Interesting.. I would have thought more folk would have wanted it too.

I currently switch to the dictionary.com app, but would be much better to have it as an option within the Logos app.

I agree, this seems like an obvious improvement!

[Y]I Would love this feature, since my English is not first language, it would be very helpful to see the definition of the word, especially it would be much more helpful to read theological books where they are using language from 16 century [:)]

I agree. This is an important feature missing in the iPad version, however, I suspect Logos already has plans for it in a future release.

    Hello Nicky,

This feature will be implemented in a future release, although I believe it will just be supported on devices running iOS 5 or higher.  Thanks!

Great Kevin, I look forward to it.

Thanks for the tip Tom, works well as an alternative.
