Commentary Pseude-OT - Morphology

Greetings all.

I was under the impression that the text should be a morphology and that it was possible to do a BWS on it.?

You can see from the pics the words, and then the selected word for the BWS. But there is no selection for the BWS.

Can someone verify this and see if there is an update needed....or if I missed something.

Generally only Bibles and similar texts have the morphological tags, and only from a Bible can you perform a Bible Word Study from a right-click.

Your commentary has some greek text but is not tagged with the extra information of lemma and morphology. Try searching your entire library for the word.

As Jonathan says, commentaries are not morphologically tagged (they never are), only original language texts are. You would need the Old Testament Greek Pseudepigrapha with morphology: http://www.logos.com/product/5767/old-testament-greek-pseudepigrapha-with-morphology

If you had an analytical lexicon, you can look up untagged Greek words and find their morphology, with two caveats: (1) the word will only be in the lexicon if it's in the NT, and not all words in the pseudepigrapha are, (2) some Greek words have ambiguous morphologies, and in that case the analytical lexicon won't tell you which is the right one for this context. The best analytical lexicon in Logos is the Lexham one: http://www.logos.com/product/4580/lexham-analytical-lexicon-to-the-greek-new-testament

The Analytic Lexicon would tell you that the lemma for ἰσχυροὶ is ἰσχυρός, and the morphology is JNPM (i.e. adjective, nominative, plural, masculine). Without the lexicon you could search for the word in a morphologically tagged NT, and discover the morphology that way.

Ok, I did find a work-around, so I can work with that. I did notice that there seems to be a linking issue with the Sept. w/logos morph. I added a pic so that someone can verify it as well. I circled what seems to be the problem - you will notice the first two do not even match, but the third shows corectly[I did let it sit a few minutes to catch up since I had other resources open]:

If someone has this resource and can verify it, I noticed after some random selected verses that it was sporadic but I did not list all those. I would appreciate it.

The Reverse Interlinear in the Septuagint shows the underlying Hebrew text. However, not all the books in the apocrypha/pseudepigrapha have an underlying Hebrew text (it's either lost or never existed). 3 Maccabees is an example of that, which is why the interlinear ribbon doesn't move, and if you click on a word, it's blank.

Let’s explore that statement. So if there was no existing text thereby to interpret the Maccabee's. then what we have is a conjugation of something that never existed(?) [lets move this conversation to the one that is seperated: BUG? Sept....]
