Devotional going to wrong date
For the last two days (Feb. 1st & 2nd), My Utmost for His Highest has opened to the previous date. It even shows the wrong date on the home page.

Paul - I will take a quick stab at this... (just a guess)
1) It could be a sync issue (but I don't think so)
2) the app could need to be refreshed - let me explain:
I tend to leave my L4 MAC open all the time. If I don't finish my devotional reading, the next day it will still say "today" until I refresh it. The mobile app is a bit different, but I think it may be the same in this regard: the app doesn't necessarily turn off. Just because you switch to a different program, doesn't mean the app has been "closed" in the same sense that you "close" a program on your computer. My guess is that the date is cached and has not been refreshed. The quick way to test this would be to kill the app and reopen it.
To "kill" an app: with the app not running on your screen, press and hold the center button. This will allow you to close programs one at a time from out of memory.

Thanks for the suggestion, killing the app and restarting it got it to show the correct date. I think it's odd that it started on Feb 1st, like there's some bit of code that got out of sync. I hope the development team watches these lists... it may be a good idea to check the device clock regularly, maybe when the app gains focus.

But that was my point - I don't think there is "code out of sync." The devotional loaded to the correct date when it was first opened (yesterday). It just needed a refresh. Programs don't shut down in iOS unless 1) you kill the app as I showed you, 2) enough programs open up that earlier ones get shut down, 3) your battery dies / you do a complete shutdown (press and hold both buttons for 10 seconds). In other words, the app was opened sometime yesterday and it still thought it was yesterday (in terms of devotionals).
If Logos doesn't respond to this thread, and if the issue persists after the sync issues have been resolved, bring it up again. I am curious to know too. [:)]

If it was a one day event I might agree, but this was two straight days. If it was "stuck" on the date it was opened (Jan 31st) it would not of advanced from Feb 1 to Feb 2. Also, since I read this devotional every day from my iPad and have for the last several months I would expect to of run into this before.

More interesting news... I've noticed two things:
- The devotional date on the Home page doesn't change until 8:00AM.
- It doesn't matter what timezone I'm in (or more accurately what timezone my iPad is set for), but the date always changes at 8:00A</

Hi Logos,
On Version 2.1.3, I am still experiencing the same problem that Paul reported here. My bio clock wakes me up early so at 6:00am each time I select a devotional material from the home page, it takes me to the previous day's reading.
Please fixed it for some of us who are early birds [:)]

I'm experiencing the same problem as Paul and LimJK.
This has been an issue in previous versions of the app but was fixed. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/34273.aspx
This is an regress in 2.1.3
