From Libronix to Logos 4 on Mac

I presently have Scholar's library running libronix on my Mac. I have libronix 1.2.2. I just downloaded the engine only for logos 4 as I am not 100% sure I want to pay the $150 upgrade or $70 minimal crossgrade. Will all my library from libronix dls automatically be ported over the Logos 4 or will I have to reload them?

My siuation is I originally bought the pc version years ago, changed to a mac so had to get the new Mac libronix os a couple of years ago.

Welcome to the forums David,

Yes, all the books you had in Libronix should work with Logos 4. Just sign into Logos 4 with the same email address you registered your books with and they should download automatically. Logos 4 will probably copy some of the files from your 1.2.2 installation but many books have been rebuilt to work better with the new version. You can get by with just the free engine but the crossgrade/upgrade resources are nice.

I logged in with an email address I used when I got the Mac os but not sure if that is the same email address that I originally registered with my PC version. If logos 4 seems to be runing with books and all can I assume it has successfully transferred all of my scholar's base library over than and that I was using the right email address?

Yes, one way to check your Logos.com account is login to http://biblia.com

During Logos 4 Mac installation, your libronix resources are scanned: ones that have not been updated for Logos 4 are copied into your Logos 4 folder, followed by downloading resources updated for Logos 4.

Logos 4 changed reverse interlinear resources and added many features that need appropriate resources, hence => Logos Bible Software 4 Minimal Crossgrade (could call and talk with Logos Sales, seem to remember minimal crossgrade being on sale a couple times)

Final production version of Logos for Mac 1.2.2 (released on 17 Sep 2009) essentially became an e-Book reader after Safari 5 update on 20 July 2011 (released with OS X Lion); older Mac OS X options: try restoring previous Safari version => http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20110722154439693 OR downgrade Safari to older 4.0.5 => http://itsalltech.com/2010/07/11/how-to-downgrade-safari-5-to-safari-4-on-mac-os-x/ (not applicable for OS X Lion). The old Logos for Mac software can peacefully coexist with Logos 4 Mac, but cannot read new Logos 4 file format, only older Libronix format.
