Another user in THIS THREAD discovered that renaming favorites is broken. He is using the 4.5 ( v4.50.0.1869 ) release. I am on 4.5a Beta 2 (4.51.0.1906) and am having the same difficulty.

Another user has experienced this problem. If anyone experiences this again, it would be good to post logs here for Tonya.
Here is a log file
8561.Logos4Error.log.zip
Funny, when I went back and tried creating and then "renaming" a new folder it let me do it.
This was after zipping log files.
Noticed Logos4Error.log has 4.5a Beta 2, which could be updated to Logos 4.5a Beta 4.
Note: since discussing Beta versions, Logos may move this thread to Mac Beta forum.

I am still having trouble renaming favorites after rebooting. I cannot find any resolution to the problem. I am running Logos 4.5 SR-5 on a new Macbook Air. Can you advise me how to approach this? This is my first time using the forums at all, and I am a little lost. My speciality is the Bible, not computers!

Josh - Welcome to the forums! Sorry you are having troubles. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone has come up with a good answer. It seems hit and miss.
The post above yours has links to posting logs. Take a look there and if you have questions, feel free to come back to ask.

Looking at thread => Problems Renaming Folders wonder about restarting Mac ?
Apologies: using Logos 4.5a Beta 5 on Mac, unable to replicate.

I was able to "Enable Mac logging for one session" following the instructions on the Diagnostics Logging Page for Mac. Once I enabled logging, it worked fine. So I restarted Logos without enabling logging just to see if it would continue to work. So far no problems! Thanks for the help!
Actually Josh, come to think about it… Mine started working when I enabled logging for one session as well. It has worked ever since, with one temporary relapse.

Enabling logging slows some operations down - this is not the first time that switching on logging has removed a symptom. The sickness remains though. :-(
FYI: The favorites renaming was broken for me as well and enabling and disabling the logging fixed it for me also.
