has never worked on my vista desktop, works fine on my xp laptop
takes each update
James - I am a Mac user, and hence no help to you. [:)] My guess is that you will need to provide others with a Log. Info on Logging can be found HERE.
My only other thought: Could it be an antivirus program on your Vista machine?
Have experienced repeated synch failures this morning in both L4 Win (XP) and in L4 Mac (10.5.8) both running 4.5a Beta 5. However, the changes made in a Notes document in L4 Win this morning are present in L4 Mac. Some synchronization has taken place, even with the synch failure triangle.
Best guess, something is wrong on the Logos end. At least that is what appears to be the case this morning.
How about that, KS4J, no personal pronouns! [:D]
I have the log file in case any one needs it let me know. Like I said, my laptop is working just fine, only my vista desktop can not sync.
thx

Please upload logos4.log and logos4error.log - see http://wiki.logos.com/Uploading_Logs
I'm wondering if it may not be faster to uninstall and reinstall? If not I will follow up later. Thank You!
James, if Logos has never synced, it's possible that syncing is being blocked by your firewall. Might that be happening for you?
firewall is disabled and I use no anti-virus program. I'm a tech so removing viruses and adwares is easy for me. This way i dont have to install a system resource hog always working in the background.
I do suspect a faulty install however as it never worked on the desktop and always worked on my laptop.

If you're a tech you might want to put a sniffer on your laptop and find out what ports L4 is using and then trace those ports on your desktop, just in case there's something else going on that you missed. L4 also uses BITS, and may be dependent on some other services, so you might want to check whether you did something there. Tech's like to tinker - so maybe you forgot some change you made on one and not the other.
A faulty install is also possible, of course.

A repair would be faster --> Control Panel | Programs and Features | Logos 4
But what do your logs say?
