All I Want for Christmas Are My Logos Books on My Sony Reader
Logos made great strides with Logos 4. The more I explore, the more impressed I am with how they completely redesigned the program with the 21st Century in mind. I can't wait to see how they continue to expand Logos 4 based on the foundation they have already created.
Now for my wish: Sony recently adopted the ePub standard for their Sony Reader line of e-readers. Based on Adobe's Digital Content Server, ePub is quickly becoming the "standard" for emerging e-readers. (Sorry Kindle folks, but as of right now, Amazon is sticking with their own proprietary format.)
As the e-reader industry adopts ePub as a standard, it seems natural that Logos could/should seriously explore a viable method to access our Logos books on an e-reader. Logos is great for concentrated study, but when I want to curl up with a good book, I'm not going to have my laptop with me. Many of the books Logos offers really fall into the reading category and not the study category.
Here is how I would like to see this work: when I have a book I want to read on my Sony Reader (or any other e-reader that supports the ePub format), I simply click a button within Logos that takes my selected book and converts it on the fly into the ePub format. All I do then is import it into my Sony Library desktop application and sync it to my Reader. I don't need access to my entire Logos library...only selected books. I'm not a programmer, but that shouldn't be too difficult to build into the application.
What do you think? Is this possible? Why wouldn't this work? Thoughts?

One option, if you are an OSX user, and the new rumoured Apple Tablet runs OSX, then theoretically you might be able to run Logos 4 Mac on it, making it in effect an ebook reader. I am watching this closely because this would also give me the ability to sync whatever I do on my computer with my tablet. Click F11 and away you go.
Conceivably, Windows based tablets could do the same thing.

That's a good thought. I'm a heavy windows user and play around in OSX. I'm anxiously waiting for Logos 4 to come out of Alpha in OSX so I can watch it fly. Right now I'm running Logos 4 within a VMWare Fusion Windows 7 window on my Mac. It actually works pretty good.
Have you heard a projected price for the Apple Tablet?

They can and mine does! I use my Dell Latitude XT curled up in bed. I've assigned F11 as a shortcut on one of the tablet buttons.

Searching internet, personally learned Sony Reader PRS-T1 can be rooted to run Android. Also, the PRS-T1 model has a micro SD card so Logos Android app might be an option.

I recently rooted my Sony Reader PRS-T1 and tried to download the Logos Android App through the Amazon AppStore, but was told it is incompatible with the device. So far the other Android Apps I've tried work pretty well, so I hope there is a way to get the Logos App working soon.

For anyone who is interested: I successfully installed the Logos Bible Software Android App. 0.9.3 on my rooted Sony PRS-T1 from this link: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/41645.aspx. (The Android Market wouldn't let me download version 0.9.4.)
So far so good!

Hi William,
I have a blog post with a little more information about the process here: http://gervatoshav.blogspot.com/2012/02/sony-reader-prs-t1-best-e-reader-for.html. Obviously, I can take no responsibility for what might happen to your device if you follow the same process.
