Logos Update / Crash Issues

A month or two ago, I had some issues with Logos crashing every time I tried to start it. It turned out that there was some update that came out which my antivirus software (Webroot) did not like. This forum got me the answer (removing a file from Quarantine). Although this solved the problem in the short term and allowed me to open Logos, it soon after started prompting me to install an update. If I click "Yes" to installing it, I get the error message below.

If I clicked "No," Logos would still open for a week or two; however, now it just crashes. While it does crash, Logos does not generate a crash or error report any more. The last crash report is from several days ago, so I don't know that it is even connected to this current issue. Here is that report though.

I have tried checking the quarantine of Webroot, and there are no files. I have tried to install the Logos update with Webroot completely disabled as well as my Windows 7 firewall disabled. That didn't work either.

I am thinking about uninstalling and reinstalling Logos completely. Does anyone have ideas before I take that long and painful step?

Try to repair Logos from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Right click Logos Bible Software 4 and select Repair.

Thanks, I actually wouldn't have thought to look under that in the Wiki. Logos now works, but I get this error each time I open the program. Seems pretty innocuous for the moment since the program actually works, so hopefully this doesn't lead to another issue.

Phillip, there is an explanation on the Logos web site about this error: http://www.logos.com/L4/Support/Warning1946

Perhaps removing the shortcut from the Start bar would eliminate the error. If so, then perhaps you could add it back. The web page doesn't specifically address your issue.

I saw that about the warning. I did just try unpinning and repinning it and that seemed to resolve it. Thanks!
