BUG: iPad and multitask
Does anybody else experience have their iPad go to lock screen when they attempt to multitask?? I've determined that it is caused by the Logos app because when I deleted it, I no longer had the issue. I DON'T want to repeatedly delete and reinstall the app to solve this.

Thankfully I've never experienced this! Does it happen only when you are using the Logos app, or when the app is actually installed?

It is as the Logos App is active. At that point it does not matter what app I am using. And I cannot use multitasking gesture or double tap the home button to close the app. All it does it revert back to lock screen.

I don't think it's necessarily a Logos issue... I've experienced this problem from time to time, but haven't quite narrowed it down. It usually happens after I update an app (to which I get a notification that other "purchased apps" aren't able to update at that time [for which there are no updates])... I haven't quite figured out a method to fix it, but it eventually starts working again.
For me, it happens with & without the Logos app installed. Lately, it's been the gMusic app that's been the culprit for me.

How did you determine which app it was? For me it occurs no matter which app is open when I try to multitask.

The going to lock screen happens with any app... but I've noticed that when I update my apps, there's usually one app that looks like it's trying to download/update when I update others. The latest version of Logos did that for a while, but now it's my gMusic app that's doing it. As soon as that happens, I end up with the same experience you're having. I still don't know how to resolve it though.

Thanks for that. I'm just updating an app now and my Logos app looks like it also is trying to update. It says 'waiting'. ???

This is standard iOS operation. Only one program downloads at a time on the device itself. All others will say "waiting."

Right. The problem is that there is no update for the Logos app despite the fact that it was 'waiting'... I am a current 2.0.2

I've been testing this. Like I mentioned previously, every time I try to multitask I am directed to lock screen. And every time that I swipe to get back to my home screen the Logos app is waiting to download...??

I wonder if your iOS is somehow corrupted. What version are you on? You aren't jailbroken, are you?
Do you have a lot of downloaded resources? If not, what happens when you delete the app? (It sounded above like the problem goes away… is this repeatable? Does the problem keep coming back? What about the Vyrso app?)

This continues to be an issue to me. I do not have a lot of downloaded resources. I had deleted the app and problem disappeared. I believe it is related to the Logos app because of this and also because it is the only app that allows me to multitask out of it. In other words, if Logos is open and on the screen, I can multitask to another app. But any other app that I try this with (while Logos is running in background), I am consistently sent to the lock screen.

Have you tried killing the Logos app? Does the problem go away then?

It has in the past. However, I am unable to kill the app because of the problem. I cannot swipe or double click to kill the app.

Ouch. That sounds time consuming
Actually, I just synced to iTunes and it alleviated the problem. I've done this before and has resolved it - albeit temporarily. If it continues, I suppose I will heed your suggestion to restore and rebuild. Thanks for all your help.

Haven't observed this problem. As a matter of fact, I am blown away by the ability to use the 4-or-5 finger swipe to go back and forth between notes for preaching and Logos for reading Bible!
I'm assuming you have an iPad 2 or 3, since it's my understanding the multi-tasking gestures don't work on iPad 1?

Incorrect. I have a 1 gen iPad and have the gestures. You do have to be up to date with iOS and also enable them.
