I seem to be having an issue with my startup, it never seems to quite finish loading my home page (see attached pic). I noticed in the wiki the update included a change to the start up process, not sure if this is the source. Any one else experiencing this

I think there is a problem with this automatic update. When I try to install it, it fails and says:

The installation of the Logos 4 prerequisites did not succeed.

There have been two problems reported with Personal Books that will require a recompile.

One was noted in the Release Notes, this thread for speeding up the search panel resource picker.

The other is the display of page numbers in PBs. I do have PBs that do not show "Display page numbers", and some that do. I recompiled one that did not work, last rebuilt Jan. 15th, and now it works. So this has been fixed as well but does not appear in the release notes.

Do we know a range of dates where this was broken? Some old PBs I have show page numbers fine. This may help alleviate opening every single PB I have to see if page numbers work.

I seem to have narrowed it down to Jan 13, 2012 - built on or before this date, "Display page numbers" worked fine

Jan 15, 2012 - built on or after this date, "Display page numbers" did not work

Bradley stated that fixing the PB bible performance issue introduced this compiler bug IF you were running 4.5a beta after Feb 2nd, including 4.5a RC1. The problem should not affect people running v4.5 before installing the stable release 4.5a RC2.

This release crashes during indexing. My logos screen is left saying that search results may be incomplete whilst indexing is happening but there is no indexing going on - it starts but stops a few minutes later. Sometimes I get the message that logos has stopped working. This repeats on restarting.

The previous release worked fine; I haven't had this trouble before.

Enable logging, run Logos4 and upload logs after it crashes i.e. crash/error logs + indexer logs.

Using the log, I've seen it's complaining about filling the disk space. I've given it another couple of GB and it now indexes OK.

Seems this release needs more disk space to index itself in. The extra resources downloaded were only 20 or 30MB yet it seems to need an extra 500MB disk space over what the previous release could index within.

It appears to be so but the extra requirement could arise from a fragmented disk with insufficient free space. I would:-

ensure there is at least 25-30% free space e.g. a 100 GB partition/drive needs 25 to 30 GB free
defragment the drive

Ever since the update, I now get errors when the system tries to synchronize. I worked for over four hours today and not once did it sync up without error. I did it manually and that took two tries to get it to "take." Methinks there may be a bug about. Thanks.

Synch is not working for me either. I install 4.5a when it was first available and initially had a synch problem then it went away. I assume it was a logos server issue that was resolved. Is it possible that this synch problem will also go away when tech support works on the logos server(s)? Hope so. Since I have done nothing new since 4.5a was synching it must be a problem on the logos side.

I got a sync error initially upon "waking" my computer but then it cleared.

Logos wants to sync my single, unmodified Reading Plan twice each cycle, whilst other docs are sync'd once.
