I'm looking for some advice on upgrade planning and particularly some insight into how Logos sales pro-rates package prices (if they do at all). Right now I have the Original Language library with a very few additions (a few CP titles, AYBD, planning to add the Tyndale commentaries soon). There's nothing in Scholar's that looks compelling to me, but I could see myself upgrading to Silver or Gold down the line. It'll probably be a few years before I'm ready to drop that much money at once though.
Here's my question. If I were to buy resources now that are included in those base packages, am I wasting my money in the long run? There's not a whole lot that I would want right now, mostly Bible translations (I'd like to add both NIVs, HCSB, and NLT at least). If I buy these now will Logos count them towards the purchase of a base package in the future, at least partially, or is it just a sunk cost?
