Understanding lemma numbers in Bible resources

Is there any way to find out how many lemmas are associated with a given Greek or Hebrew word in Scripture? And better yet, what semantic grounds supposedly distinguish the different lemmas? For example, looking at Baal in the ESV with Anderson Forbes Morphology, there are 6 different lemmas (which I could only figure out by searching beginning with the number 1 and stopping when my search results end up with no finds). Lemma 6 is a "location", Lemma 5 is name of a person, Lemma 4 is a deity... but it is not always that clear what the distinguishing characteristics are. Lemmas 1 and 2 both seem to refer to husband or marriage. So my question, in general, is, "How does one easily find out how many lemmas there are, and what distinguishes them?

Wyn, Isn't it easier to just do a Bible Search for Baal in the ESV, then right click on Any iteration of Baal and do a Bible Word Study which lists all the lemmas (Hebrew depicted below)?

These are homographs i.e. one word with different meanings. Paste בעל Baal into a Morph Search for ESV or AFAT and you will readily see how many meanings are attributed. Whilst effectively lemmas they have been specially incorporated into the AF morphology. You will also see that BHS/WHM treats it differently, as does BHS/WIVU.

Mark - Your suggestion really isnt' the same thing. I am not looking for all the Hebrew words translated into Baal, nor I am looking for all the English words that בעל was translated into. Someone in their analysis has decided that there are a number of homophones for בעל and I would like to know how many there are. Of course if a translator is agrees with that analysis, he will choose appropriate words to translated, but that is not always the case.

I tried this but it doesn't seem to work. There are 6 lemmas for בעל but I dont see those.... this is what I see:

OK.. I got it. Need to do a morph search on lemma:בעל and then it lists them by number at the top of the list:

I mislead you, as it is only necessary to paste the Hebrew word בעל into a Morph Search.
