Dual Screens

Just wondering if others have had this problem or if this can be solved. I recently started extending my laptop to a secondary monitor but whenever I unplug my monitor Logos is the only program that is not visible and is still positioned where the monitor was. I don't know if this is a problem with my computer or with Logos. My computer is running Windows Vista and my Logos 4 is current with the latest update.

I don't have this problem with Logos 4 with 2 monitors on Windows 7, Ken, (though I do have that problem with 1 or 2 other programs).

You've tried checking for the latest driver for your video card?

Try to force windows to stop using the "ghost" monitor:

[WindowsKey] 9

and then select "computer only"

hopefully that helps--I think what you are experiencing is a bit of a windows bug--it gets really bad if you've set the second monitor as your primary display & then you disconnect that monitor. I've seen a couple windows slates at work which, if removed from their docking station without forcing windows to stop using the attached monitor, will become useless until re-docked [because the virtual keyboard appears on the "ghost" monitor].

I think what you are experiencing is a bit of a windows bug

its a Logos "Feature" AFAIK, Stored in a registry key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Logos4\LastWindowPlacement"

I think if you hold your CRTL key down while starting Logos, it may open it on your single monitor, but IMO a test when logos is opening to see if the old width/height is still valid would be better

I noticed an interesting quirk that might also add more information. I think the problem is with Vista and not Logos. The problem happens with other programs too but only when the program is maximized. I didn't notice this at first because I only had Logos maximized on my monitor. When a program is not maximized there is no problem with adjusting. I'm glad the problem is not with Logos but I'm sad I have Vista...
