I am going to help my sister become more familiar with using Logos.....tomorrow. I need assistance with one area. I know how to link a passage or a section of scripture to a note (so that the colored box appears in both the note and the passage. That is not the issue.
What I can't figure out is how to type in a scripture verse (as in the words "John 3:16") in the body of the note, so that when I place the cursor over it, the little box with that verse appears.....or if I hit "control, right click" while hovering over the name of the scripture, the passage will come up in the Bible which is open (as well as all of the commentaries and such that are open at the time).
I have been taking notes during the weekly sermon on my Mac Book for several months now. I cannot get the scripture to appear in blue.....which is the indicator that the verse can be seen when the cursor hovers over it. Each week, I come home and review my notes on our PC. At that time, I am able to turn the listed verses (as in John 3:16) to the blue color, thus turning it into a link. This works like a dream when I do my note taking on the PC. I know that I must write the scripture reference beginning with a capital letter on the PC in order for it to become that link. But I have not been able to figure our how to do this automatically on the Mac Book. Interestingly enough....once I have done the "conversion" on the PC, the references appear in blue on the Mac Book, too. There must be a way to do this directly on the Mac Book. Can anyone tell me how? I'd love to share this short cut with my sis....since she only has a Mac.
Thanks a bunch!
