Noticed Classic Commentaries and Studies on Numbers and Deuteronomy (20 vols.) projected price has dropped to $ 15
Keep Smiling [:)]
Yup, the price for that Numbers & Dt set is very low now! It'll be interesting to see if Leviticus drops given it only went over on Wed ...

Here's today's picture. Only a few hours left.

Pretty close... just a few more bids will put it over...at http://www.logos.com/product/15699/classic-commentaries-and-studies-on-leviticus
If only everyone could watch out more closely they would be bidding lower instead of bid even as it reached 140% of production cost.
Well, it's still hundreds of dollars we save ! hehe :-) So, it doesn't make any REAL difference between $25 or $30 with a 95% saving. [H]
Time is about over to bid on this collections today.

Noticed three dots on the line; quite close to lowering projected price for all bidders:
I like CP but it seem like it is also designed to scrap an extra 5 bucks out of every bidder. And contrary to what some think, for some of us 5 dollars is still something I think is worth saving.[:)]

The thing is, in this very expensive Logos environment, CP is now (for some of us) the only affordable way left to enrich our research libraries... I'm priced out of all other sales--not so much in terms of absolute dollars as much as what I'm willing to pay per resource to enrich the library with quality resources. The CC series has been truly a gift to help us do that, even if it gets $5 more than I'd LIKE to pay for a particular collection.
I just keep reminding myself that Logos goal for CP was to cover the cost & get resources into production--not the same as our goal of growing our libraries the most cost effectively we can. All in all, it's more than a fair bargain. Eh?

abusive Spanish language prepubs
would like them to be less abusive in there pricing to the Hispanic community.
Hi Tom,
Forgive me, but "abusive" is such a harsh word. It implies an intent to harm and an ability to do so that Logos just doesn't have.
As far as I can see, Logos' pricing is more or less consistent across the spectrum, barring some publisher's requirement to the contrary . Yes, I think Logos' price is consistently high. But I also recognize the value even if I can't afford it. And my feeling that the price is high--perhaps even too high for me--comes far, far short of making it abusive.
In Christ's name, please reconsider the use of such language unless it's truly justified by physical or emotional abuse. It's a disservice to those who are being abused, as well as being an untruth that brings no glory to Christ.
Your brother in Christ,
Bill
Bill, using Logos: I feel that the following use of the word is (was) correct.
abu•sive \ə-ˈbyü-siv, -ziv\ adjective (1583) 1 : characterized by wrong or improper use or action.〉
I feel that Logos is wrong in their pricing policy to the Hispanic population.
I feel they are taking a wrong action in setting their prices for the Hispanic market.
I am NOT saying they are morally wrong.
I am NOT saying their intent is to defraud.
I am saying that their marketing department should take a close look at their target market and adjust their prices.
The fact that so many Hispanic Pastors have pirated copies of Libronix is because the product is overpriced. (Not to mention the pastors or missionaries messed up reading of the eight commandment).
So what happens, many of my friends here in Mexico just download a "free" copy from the Internet. (I will not post the links)
So much for my battle to get them to stop buying pirated DVD and software.
If the prices for the Spanish collections were more in line with other Bible Software products, Logos would not be available on some many "Download sites" (complete with the unlock key).
I will calm the waters and remove the post with the "offensive word".
I am still "offended" by their prices to the Hispanic community to the point where it is hard for me to recommend the Spanish product.
Thanks for your input [Y]

They may not like the price, that still does not justify anyone, especially pastors, breaking the law of the land and the commandments of the Bible.
"Free" should read ILLEGAL, STOLEN property from its lawful owner.

Could not agree with you more, that is why I put in the quotes around " Free ".
But the "anti law" group of pastors here in my part of the world were very well trained to believe: "Somos bajo gracia no bajo la ley"
Which means in all practicability that stealing to promote the gospel is "oh key doe key" as my mother would say.
