I was wondering how many Logos users here are using Google Wave and if there would be any interest in starting a Bible study group using Google Wave. I'm smith.bryan.c@googlewave.com
What do you think of the idea?
We currently have about six people on Google Wave just messing around and learning what it can do. We're still waiting for everyone to get their invites before we start any studies.
As soon as you get an invite just log on to Wave and send a message to me at smith.bryan.c@googlewave.com and I will bring you into the waves that have started.

Invites from friends were running about 1 week. Invites from Google take a while (mine took 4 months!).

Im also studying a Certificate in Biblical Studies and im hoping this will help me alot with my studies. I have been browsing these forums for about a month now and love how helpful everyone is and how it feels like a large family.

Wow! I've been waiting much longer. Maybe the person who said he gave me one forgot. I will have to check to see who that was, but I haven't gotten one yet.
My bad. In the time span, after being told I got an "invite" I got an invitation to join Google...PHONE, not WAVE! I just glanced at the email and made a quick, but wrong, assumption. I did, however, get my Wave invite but it took maybe 10 days or so...

Maybe I'll get mine soon. I was told I was submitted on Oct. 31 earlier in this thread. And now it is the 10th of November so that's a little more than 10 days. When I get it I will be happy to invite people here who still need one.
It took me 5 days to get mine. I got the invite from Germany I don't know if makes a difference.
I wonder what they're doing while we're waiting. Perhaps they need to check some things before activating your wave. (Like, whether you're actually using the email account? [;)]) So if it's an account which you haven't been using for a while, it doesn't hurt sending yourself emails while in the wait.
I use that email account every single day and check it 6-8 times a day.

Kevin, I added you to a wave called "'Official' Wave Bible study launch (?)". If you sign into wave you should see it in your inbox. Just click on it and it will display on the right side of the window. Since the wave will be open 24/7 and anyone can reply anywhere in the wave it won't be extremely important for us all to be on at the same time. To answer your question though, I think times and dates will probably be worked out in that Wave.
If you have a wave account already and want to participate post in the wave repository thread and/or send me a wave at smith.bryan.c@googlewave.com and I will add you to the wave. I believe there is a way to link to a wave but it is not working for me when I've tried it so far.
