This is known behavior with Alpha 2 (mine is doing the same thing) which is supposed to be fixed in the next release. There are some terminal commands that you can type and try out in another thread, but probably the easiest route is to wait.

In the meantime, I'm having fun with the Windows version, though I was chasing some ideas on James 1:17 and I crashed it. I'm just not having a good Logos day! [:S]

They should have put me in the beta programme! I would have given them all sorts of reasons to put off releasing Logos 4 until 2050! ;-) I was actually trying to do some exegetical studies on different words for gift - one of which was δώρημα. When I was doing a word study on it, crash. I tried it again, crash. Oh well, time to move on!

I have come over to this forum, thanks for the invite. I wish I had the time to load windows on my Mac, but just having had spinal surgery and carrying 18 hours at Liberty U, I am a little short. Please let me know when the next alpha release is, since I really cannot wait to see the Portfolio Edition at work.

let's see, I spend all day loading XP on my MAC so I can run the new Logos 4, only to find out I need SP3, which XP won't let me load, so I still don't have Logos 4 ARRRRRGGGGG

Why won't Xp let you load sp3? What SP (or any SP) is the current XP at? you may have to go SP1 first and from there jump to SP3. Yeah, it's no fun.

SP 3 is current, but there is an error in a file (imagine that from microsoft) i just ordered vista through my college since bootcamp will not yet support Win 7 and the few brave souls that have tried are in deep dark places right now. i have all the updates to sp2, but will wait for vista. I see a new release on logos for mac, doing a NEW download, I hear it works, but we shall see. This is really frustrating, I just want to learn

Do you know which file(s) have errors? We might be able to hunt them down.

Do you have Net 3.5 installed too? I know that L4 requires it.

Thank you so much for trying to help. I am going to wait for vista or I will fail all of my courses. I need to quit playing with Logos 4 and work on Theology, Old Testament Survey, and Literature and Composition. Maybe on Monday I can start to play again. I have wasted enough time. The new alpha version is loading on my desktop. That's the Dual Quad core 3.2 GHz, 32 GB RAM set up with a 4 TB RAID 0. Nice machine, but I am using my laptop right now.

Hey when you are ready to give it a go, let us know what the specifics are that you are having trouble with Windows. A number of us Mac guys know and use both systems, particularly in Boot Camp and Virtual Machines (Fusion/Parallels). Don't worry, we'll get you going!!! :-)
