Observation: Logos 4 runs on Windows or Mac OS X.
On iOS devices, Logos offers "Bible +" and Vyrso apps.
On Android devices, a Logos mobile app is currently in beta testing.

The playbook can't even run email. How will it run a real program like Logos? The playbook was dead on arrival, so if Logos intends to support that platform, it won't be for a couple of couple of interations.

In light of the recent playbook operating system update (version 2.0) and the repackaging of android apps, does anyone know if Logos is planning on repackaging the Logos android app? I love playbook, but I would love it even better if I could store a small part of my Logos library offline.

The Blackberry OS will be completely dead before Logos would be able to get an app out for it so my guess is they will not even try.

the 'repackaging' of android apps doesn't look to be that difficult nor time consuming, esp. since the new playbook 2.0 os has an android emulator.

Your best chance of getting it is to see if theres any way to root the Blackberry Playbook to run android IMO.

Phillip is correct the conversion of the android app should be very simple. However, Logos has told me they will not do it. http://community.logos.com/forums/t/43070.aspx is a copy of the letter that I sent to LOGOS support and received the "thanks, but no thanks reply." The problem is that LOGOS is the one who has to do the conversion and sign the app to send it to BB's app store.
Alan, please consider helpful and informed responses or none at all.
Alex, I am not well versed in rooting of devices, however, if you can root a playbook it has only been since Dec. 2011. Crackberry.com would be the best source for this but with the above information it is not needed.
Overall, I am disappointed in LOGOS for not converting their app to QNX when the process is so simple and would appeal to many LOGOS users.
I found this quote at the bottom of the press release contrary to the response they gave to my request:

That's a real shame that they aren't planning on converting it for the Playbook. I just picked up a couple of Playbooks since they were touted as supporting Android apps, figuring it would benefit my wife and myself by making our Bible study a little more portable.
Jason, you said Logos has to do the conversion themselves to make it available on the app store... but, do you know if individuals could make the conversion on their own just for personal use (I'm not a developer and don't know what is required to perform the conversion)? Just a thought.
Logos; I hope that you change your decision... just in my small congregation there are at least a half dozen of us who would benefit from the conversion.

To be added to BB App World, Logos needs to do the conversion.
Individuals have options to side load (install) Android apps onto their Playbooks. Several internet web sites have instructions for installing Android apps, which are not in BB App World (via side loading).

I am glad people are able to side load Logos onto a Blackberry but as far as making it more native via BB APP store, we have been told programers resources are limited, and while the Playbook is not dead, it has yet to reach a popular usage level, I mean playbook has lasted longer than Hp TouchPad, but there is serious questions about the long term viability of RIM. It is under $15 a share and still seems to be making questionable moves. It's latest product I have heard of has been to release a custom keyboard case for the playbook, but last I heard they were almost selling the PB at a loss to try to get them moving. There has been take over rumours around RIM for a while, and it would't surprise me to one day hear about MS, Nokia, Apple or Google, buying them for the patents they hold. They have made a valiant effort to recover, but they don't seem to have made much of a buzz in the market place with any of there last few products. These things in mind I am not surprised Logos is weary about sticking their toes in that water.

In theory, yes since how to tutorials look doable. In practice, personally not know since do not have a Blackberry Playbook. In the Android forum, have read about Logos side loading success on a variety of other Android devices.

I went through the process of side-loading the logos android app (taking the apk and converting it to a bar) and it does not work on the PB....

Just read the reponses to this thread, and agree that I think Logos does not want to put the resources on doing this. I been checking periodically to see if they would provide any communication about their plans. If not a playbook app, I hope that they do further develop in the future improved access with HTML5. I have been using Biblia.com (beta) for a couple of months now, becuase I have a verizon hotspot, and I am able to maintain a connection. With Playbook 2.0, the browser is great. I can select, cut and paste references from my library into my MSWord file during the week and then later sync my file using Doc to Go . I am bi-vocational and needed something that was compact and that I could use during my lunch break. However, Biblia.com does not create the corresponding footnotes like in the full version. Hope this helps

I've tried converting all sorts of different Logos app versions for
both PlayBook OS 2.0 and 2.1 beta but no joy. Every version crashes at
