Use of Stylus for Highlighting
Greetings. I am wondering if anyone uses a stylus on the iPad in Logos for highlighting and how that is working out. I would imagine it would work better than lining up the starting point with my finger. Any preferred models that work better than others?
Thanks in advance. Really just getting used to my new iPad 2, but, the Logos App is good so far.

I use a stylus all the time. To me it is no different than using a pen or highlighter in a hard copy of a book.

Targus is one brand, and the only one carried by my local Best Buy. Naturally, the most expensive. Staples has some as well for cheaper.

You can also check out Amazon. The one we use is made by boxwave, they have one which is a bit longer and smaller tip than some of the others. I find it helpful because it is sometimes hard to grab those display handles to select the beginning/end of the area to be highlighted (although changing the screen font size to make it larger can help as well).
The only drawback I've seen: the rubberized tips can eventually wear out with use. That brand on Amazon costs about 10 bucks, so the price seems good to me.

Thanks, I will give them a try as well.

I happened to find a cheap ($5) rubber-tipped stylus on a clearance aisle at Walgreens after Christmas. Quality is questionable, but for $5 I figure I can afford to wear it out or lose it.

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I was at the soccer fields with my youngest son. They had a late game today.

If you're as hamfisted as I am and you want a pen and laser pointer (for teaching and annoying your kids) then you can pick up one of the best styli I've ever used, also a Targus.
This thing is heavy so it feels like a high quality Mont Blanc or Cross pen in your hands. I love it!!

I found these on Amazon, a pack of three for $3, I tacked them onto an order. It was able to be included in the Super Saver shipping, but doesn't look like today. It helps to have various pens laying around at various locations in the house. I like them because they are smaller then some others.
