Hi,
Can someone tell me if there is a way to download my entire library onto an iPad all at one time. I understand that I can download individual resources by selecting "download". I would prefer not to do that 500+ times.
Thanks!
Stephen - First, welcome to the forums!
If you scroll up slightly in the library view, there is a "download all" button.
In the screen shot below, you can see the "download all" button. If you filter the library (such as I have done), you can download a subset of your library (the syntax shown will download all Vyrso books).
Hello again,
Wow! Thanks for the quick reply. If I may...a follow-up question: How can I know or calculate the storage space that I need for my library?
Blessings,
Steve
How can I know or calculate the storage space that I need for my library?
I'm sorry, I don't have a good answer for that. I have heard of users downloading 5-6 GB, but they had more than 500 books. A more technical user might be able to steer you to look up your resource files on your computer, but 1) not all books are mobile enabled and 2) I don't know if there is a 1 to 1 relationship between desktop resource file size and mobile resource file size.
Is there a way to download all with a proper filter or command? Or do I have to do it at least 36 times by first downloading a, then b, then c, then d, etc., then 0, then 1, then 2, etc., so I get every book that begins with any and every letter and numeral?

If the search field is blank, "Download all" will download ALL. Is that what you are seeking?
HINT: When you are viewing the library, you may have to pull the screen down to find the "download all" button, as it is hidden above by default.

Yeah, that's it. I didn't realize that's what it was doing - i.e., displaying ALL my library - when the field was blank. Thanks to Perseus I may not download "all" unless there is a way to do all but Perseus. I assume it will redownload all the books I already have downloaded, too. It's still going, but the number of 3276 resources remains the same even as it keeps Loading more...
So maybe 3276 is my total library (downloadable), correct?
Is there a way for it NOT TO list or redownload what I've already downloaded?
Any guess how long Download All would take on WiFi for this many boos? I have Gold plus lots I've bought since then.
If I can't ignore already downloaded books, then I'd hate to stop before it's all done - e.g., when I'm away from WiFi - knowing I'd be starting from scratch each time.

There is, but I can't ever remember the syntax for that. I'll try to find it later if I can.

Nope. Just the ones not already downloaded. [:)]
3276 represents your total "mobile enabled" library. It is not a count of how many books you have left to download.

No, sorry! I have no reason to download all. Also, your internet speed could be very different than mine (which is mediocre DSL).
Jerry M provided a good list of library filters: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/46558/346641.aspx
I just purchased an ipad3 and do not know how to download logos resources to it. I do not see a "download all" tab like above.

You might need to scroll slightly upward. It is hidden above by default.

"type:* -perseus" should work (For a discussion of this please see http://community.logos.com/forums/t/39825.aspx) - however it doesn't seem to at the moment and results in only downloaded books being shown in the library!

Edit: I have created a new post related to this issue at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/47803.aspx
that worked! Thanks.
