Repeatable Bug: Visual filter menu in ESV
I opened up the visual filter menu in the ESV and then shut down the ESV without first minimising the visual filter menu. Although I was able to close the ESV, the visual filter menu remained, as per screenshot,
I was unable to shut the visual filter menu which remained overlaid over every subsequent resource. The only way to get rid of the menu was to quit L4. This is a repeatable bug.
Logs attached.
Please let me know should you require any further information.

Could not reproduce. Whenever I click away from the popup, it disappears. How did you close the ESV pane?
Just answered my own question—Cmd-W will duplicate your results; clicking the close x will not.

Thanks for looking into this, Jack.

Just to clarify, the bug repeats when I use Cmd-W and when clicking the close x.
It isn't a major issue, but, as I stumbled across it, I wanted to ensure that the developers were aware.

Interesting, I cannot even click on the x with the popup showing. When I click away from the popup, the click goes to closing the popup (hate to use "popup" so often, but wanted it to remain clear as to which pane I was addressing)

Agree. Have had intermittent cases of persistent popup windows, but have never documented the issue. Thanks for bringing it to Logos' attention.

I have frequent cases. Admittedly it's been quite a while now since any was so bad as to force me to quit to get rid of it, but I often have to waste both one and two and three minutes trying all sorts of things before it finally goes away.

This issue should be fixed in the next beta update for Beta users and will ship to the stable channel in 4.5b.

Using Logos 4.5b Beta 6 on Mac OS X 10.6.8, am unable to replicate. However, did learn when ESV is open with visual filter drop down list, that clicking "x" to close ESV only closes visual filter drop down list while leaving ESV open (another click on "x" is needed to close resource).

Logos 4.5b SR-1 has a regression: had Morph Search open while researching morphology for thread => Hebrew in Logos 4 for mac then closed Morph Search, which minimized Logos Bible Software 4 window and left a pop-up so then closed panels for screen shot illustration (while including version):
Updated wiki => Feature Parity with reference to this thread:
- PC Pop-ups are closed when panel is closed, but Mac can have orphan pop-ups remaining on screen – Logos 4.5b SR-1 regression

I am able to reproduce this issue and will report it to Development.

This issue should be resolved in 4.5c Beta 1.
What about all the regressions in 4.5b that Logos has not even acknowledged thus far? Will any of them be addressed?

Many of those regressions were due to changes which were reverted after 4.5b Beta 1, as I have posted here: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/49804/368700.aspx#368700
If there are still regressions present that have been reported and not yet acknowledged (apart from those listed on the Mac Parity section of the wiki, which I am working through) please let me know.

Apologies: launched Logos 4.5c Beta 1 to Home Page, opened Morph Search in a new tab, typed @ to pop-up Morph choices, then closed Morph Search using Logos 4.5c Beta 1 on Mac OS X 10.6.8
For screen shot, clicked About to display version and clicked Home Page icon to hide Home Page.

I am not able to reproduce the issue when closing the panel via the 'x'. I can reproduce it when closing the panel via the Cmd+W keyboard shortcut (which I will report.) Is that consistent with what you are seeing?

Using Logos 4.5c Beta 1 on Mac OS X 10.6.8, can launch to Home Page, then open Morph Search in a tab, type @, then click Verb, followed by clicking "X" to close Morph Search, which minimizes "Logos Bible Software 4" window:
Using Window menu, can choose "Logos Bible Software 4" that shows Morph Search pop-up on Home Page (clicked couple prayer list items, which did not change Morph Search pop-up:
Closed Logos 4.5c Beta 1 and compressed diagnostic log files:
Console Messages lacked interesting messages.

I'll update the case with your logs and let Development know that you can reproduce the issue by clicking the 'x'.
